@@phucnguyen-ce8qx First...he's an introvert (trust me he's not having fun and I can guarantee it, plus Cloud is really scared of ghosts, so he wasn't making up an excuse). Second, one girl is trying to cope for the emotional damage of her past relationship, treating him like her ex and being clingy. The other one is really just scared of ghosts. I just got back to this post having such a different impression of both the girls and I wouldn't want Aerith to even touch him or flirt with him at times, doesn't matter how cute she acts...it's still not genuine

Funnily enough, this scene actually reminds me of something that happened to me in High School. I would go to School dances and just watch for the most part and chat with other people who might have been taking a break, but at the time I was afraid of making a fool of myself if I tried to actually dance. But one time I was just standing by the wall and 3 of my friends (all girls) came up to me and then quite literally grabbed me by the arms and dragged me out on to the dance floor! I still remember mouthing the word "Help!" to someone as we passed, but he just grinned and gave me a thumbs up. XD Turns out that they did me a favor though, since I was much more at ease and comfortable about dancing after that....even if I happened to have two left feet as far as dancing went. :P

I had a similar thought, where Aerith isn't actually interested in Cloud in a romantic sense, but she "ships" Cloud & Tifa, so she's pulling stunts like this in the hope that it encourages Tifa to be more aggressive and proactive in pursuing a relationship with Cloud.

I really hope the Remake Part II is filled with CloTi smut, not just the Golden Saucer or Highwind. The sewers, when Tifa asks Cloud about how he knows Aerith, and if "that's all there is to it" makes it quite clear. I wish there was a kiss between them in Aerith's Garden, just a chaste one would suffice. Zerith and CloTi is canon. Let's not argue over that, right?

My theory is Aerith's Soul when back in time to prevent the ending of the original game where you see Red XIII with his family running showing the player what happened to Midgar 500 years later. That Meteor ended Midgar and the people but Holy did save the Planet.

I'm on the fence about that. I was not a fan of AC. As much as I like Sephiroth as a villain, he's not my favorite and it felt wrong to bring him back when the movie was just fanservice and milking the cash cow. I get some people loved it and thought it was great but I really think FFVII should not have had a compilation. Crisis Core inserted some gary stu with Genesis, Dirge of Cerberus sucked and made me hate Lucrecia EVEN MORE and confirms Genesis survived. I haven't played Before Crisis and never looked into it, so I have no idea hiw good or bad it is.

You're right, he didn't object to Aerith holding his arm, but only after Tifa joined in. 😂 He only did it after both of them were. 😮😮😮 It's the same thing with Cloud's visions too. He doesn't tell Tifa about it till the end of Remake, he tells Aerith literally the first time she holds his arm after he has a panic attack. ❤ Hmm can't fall in love with her she says, I think Cloud already has. Honestly the more I've seen of them, both this Remake and the original, the more I feel Cloud and Aerith are just way better for each other. They have better chemistry, seem to influence each other in more positive manner and the relationship just appears all around healthier, than with Cloud and Tifa.

The weird thing is, despite how beautiful and quirky they made Aerith, I always saw her as a younger sister sort of character in relation to Cloud, even in the original game. @@whatever6874 well... i agree that most males in that world (ACG world) have some kind of FUNCTIONAL PROBLEM... BTW~ actually Cloud is very fond of Tifa when he was small~ and Aerith is his new goddess ... i think Cloud has already erected at that moment

I cried so damn hard when she was talking about Aerith in the first section. There’s no need to run the fact that she died in my face, even if it was to the Anime Boi himself, Sephiroth.

@localghost2000 Now I remember. I heard it on Smash. I never played Persona so it could only be Smash.

As far as I know, this was the extent of any jealousy between Tifa and Aerith. By the end of Rebirth they are basically blood sisters who would go fight Satan's army if they could save the other. Tifa and Aerith are too pure! Just let them shack up with Cloud! The shipping wars need to end. We got people raging over this debate still who are pushing 50!

😭 I know that a lot of people find this scene entertaining and I get why, but I hate that the English localization did this... it’s super out of character for Aerith and she does not say this in the original Japanese version (she only says something like “we have a bodyguard, right?”). They didn’t have to throw the “MINE!” in so that the audience could sense Tifa’s mild jealousy - her expression says enough. I thought the line was super catty and seemed to betray the route they were going with Tifa and Aerith’s friendship 😔 that’s just me tho
