13.20 you can use a hotkey to close a window. Command W on Mac. Works for me!
for opening a folder on windows i had to choose a file in the folder to be able to click on the "select" button. then in the textbox i just removed the filename and that worked for me.
I had my Elgato petal fail as well. The blue light on the back would not come on. I may have hot swapped it - as you said about a power surge - I thought as much. But got a replacement quickly since I can't do a stream without it.
I have one of the Streamdeck XL and I love it soooooo much especially when you combine it with Keyboard Maestro. The KM Link is an essential plugin I only just found it so I'm transitioning it all across from midi buttons to KM direct links. I'll share my KM SD image updater workflow which is very specific, hopefully, this isn't too hard to follow. I have roughly 90+ folders of themed artwork. I have each of my subfolders linked as a button which then refers to a variable (which is the themed artwork name and icon). When I change the "active theme" it changes the button R1C1 to the current themed icon. As I have about 20 different profiles, everytime I press a mutli-step button to change a profile it updates the icon. The limitation I've come across with this method is that you can't automatically run a macro when you swap to another profile automatically through swapping apps, or at least I haven't found a way to do it yet. Aanddddd now I need to buy a pedal 🤣
Could you please tell me how to switch to the right application BEFORE it does "something" Like: "Switch to ZOOM and mute" when I am in another application?
Hm about your pedal dying.. I had something like that with my XL stream-deck van Amazon. I tested it on a powered hub usb 3 port and it suddenly went black or could be some days later anyway I thought wait maybe the powered hub had something to do with it. I did search for the problem on the stream deck fallout. I saw the screen would light up a little bit from black to some lighter black but no data connection anymore and the client could not recognize the deck. I send it to Amazon and got another one back. I don't put it on a powered hub anymore.
Can you paste an attachment using Elgato Stream Deck ??? Thanks for the great video!
