3:50:45 Both you and your opponent played well in this game, although they prevailed.
4:17:09 I have been deeply insistent upon the importance of knowing and applying shogi proverbs to make the game much easier. For example... 4:06:40 "Drop where the opponent wants to drop."

Yeah this is a good example, but I think it sort of sums up so much of the difficulty of the game and my confusion. In the first game I lost when I tried dropping where the opponent wanted to drop *but I should have attacked*. So in this game I tried to attack when maybe I should have defended .... and then instead of attacking when I had the tsume I tried to defend his tsume. 😢Thanks!

@@ohithere-shogi That's a good point; I should review that first game too and see what other proverbs apply. Shogi is hard but in general the more of these you can apply, the easier decision-making becomes.
