I totally agree with you. I saw this one comment that said we gotta ask ourselves "what would chan do" to avoid certain situations since as fans, what we say and do will affect the kids as well. Love him so much😭❤️

Thank you for articulating the problems within the fandom, Mel. I'm glad you addressed the behavior of the fans. It was indeed a fiasco, almost like a storm in a teacup when seen from a distance. Much ado about nothing. I read all those hateful comments on various Korean and international online communities. As Stays, we know how marvelous, kind, and humble our Channie is, but unfortunately, the general public couldn't care less about his true character and what he was actually trying to convey. Those anonymous comments were like hyenas, tearing our boys apart. It was almost physically painful to witness them relentlessly attacking Chan for no valid reason. It was completely unfair and disproportionate to his actions. Some K-stays even suggested that Chan should stop communicating with fans and give up Chan's Room. People often forget that so-called idols are also human beings. They can express their feelings, talk about some issues, etc, instead of saying the middle-of-the-road stuff all the time. They can make mistakes, but they also have the capacity to rectify them. I hope that someday people can all become more sensible and tolerant, but it's uncertain if that will ever happen. As an individual Stay, I can only hope that as many of us behave in a decent manner. Let's not feed the trolls and laugh it off, like what you showed in this upload. Love them so much. Happy to find like-minded friends here.

Me being in the future knowing that k-stays got there wish sucks ☹️

In absolute agreement that we need to be the bigger people as a fandom and embody what Stray Kids themselves constantly strive for: integrity, humility and diligence. As you mentioned, STAY and SKZ are extensions, so how we react reflects back on them, for better or worse. The whole time, I kept hoping STAYs would disengage from the idiocy to deprive it of airtime, but it just kept going and going. However, it was so heartwarming to see STAYs rally today after the apology and use their utter rage to mass stream, buy, donate and congregate on Stationhead. When STAYs band together, they can accomplish anything! Here’s hoping this determination and focus last. And thank you as always for your reactions and words of wisdom! 34:30 There have indeed been others. If I’m not mistaken, Seungmin joined him for a while during his 3 1/2-hour Vlive, plus they had a joint Vlive for some fanclub content.

I'm so glad that there are videos of Chan being adored that have new-ish (or at least a good mix of old and new) footages, when I was a baby Stay and being Chan biased I feel like I saw a LOT of videos where Chan is the one giving all the love and not many when he's receiving it (not saying he doesn't, it's just that there are not many videos being made about it) and when there are mostly they're old footages or VERY short and repetitive. And at a time like this when emotions are amplified, I really need to see him receiving love and adoration you know what I mean? I'm sorry for the tangent

The fart discourse video is my favorite skz fan made video ever. It's SO funny, and them laughing so hard is just pure serotonin. Seriously, when I don't feel good, that video will lighten up my mood immediately.

Completely agree with everything you said! Neither fandom was innocent in any of this. The main thing that bothers me though is how Chan has been blamed for the actions of everyone else. Now the toxic kpop stans think they're justified in sending him hate and d*ath threats. Besides he didn't say anything that hasn't been said by several other idols recently. I just hope it all blows over soon and he knows how loved he is 😭 anyways thank you for the lovely reaction video! Much needed after all the drama lately 💕

That’s what frustrated me further, because at the end of the day, it’s still Chan who got blamed for and he need to apologise for them. Be wise fellow stays and think of the effects of what we caused to Chan.

as a Channie ult, i needed this today.😊i definitely pick up speaking habits from people too, and then i'm like "where'd that come from?" 😂 i definitely picked up saying "yeah?/ya know?" at the end of sentences from Chan haha also the skz & fart discourse video was so funny! i literally laughed out loud multiple times. i know that Lee Know and Seungmin have done other lives together because i've watched them; i just don't know the timing of them in relation to that one. there was one where they did trivia about themselves, and the other one was the day of their last show as hosts of kiss the radio.

Now that you speak of drama between fandoms, I understand more of why he made an apology post. At first, I thought it was media making him look bad, in which he felt the need to address it. Though, he's a senior. He should be able to voice his opinion on recent events regarding his juniors. Especially since he's so respectful, he never says anything in spite of particular individuals. It's just a bummer that he had to apologise for being real. From here, I feel like he'll limit what he says now and have to calculate every words he's about to say, and that makes me a bit upset but overall I agree with what you said. The fans gotta stay respectful.

Thank you for reacting to such a wholesome compilation and spreading some extra love for Channie ❤ I honestly just feel bad for him because he's already been going through a rough time recently and really didn't need something like this added on top right before their comeback. I also feel bad for the Ive girls who are all still VERY young. Like you said, none of them asked for fans to behave like this on their behalf nor do they deserve to be on the receiving end of such vile and hateful comments. It's really ironic that this whole issue started over a perceived lack of manners and people reacted to that by acting like they were raised in a barn themselves. Absolutely agree with your statement. No one should use such words to others... I'm so tired of this fanwars... maybe I'm too old, but I didn't understand such stupid things at all. The relationship the boys have is the best and most heartwarming thing on the planet... they are soooo cute and adorable. ❤ for me it will be always Channie... I love him to pieces It seems you listed to heyday a loooooot.... so I do. This is such an underrated song 😢 Red lights is still unbelievably good.... I didn't saw the mv for a while and in still stocked but I still love it... Chans voice in this song is like butter for my ears. Lately I'm listening to 3racha so much... maybe my taste skipped a little bit to the rap-heavy songs.... but I always loved the louder, harder stuff so I think it changed not too much. To be honest twitter makes it sooo incredibly difficult to be a good person and be the bigger person. When I first got onto twitter, I didn't know about this 'culture' and how things worked on there. I remember getting ratioed to hell and back so many times just because I tried encouraging fellow stays to be the bigger person, to not stoop down on their level, to not attack a group for what their fans are doing. And people would attack me for it, question my love for the boys and call me all kinds of names. And at some point you just stop arguing with them because it's too exhausting and doesn't seem to get anywhere. And now that I've been on twitter for 3 years, I've started noticing myself adapting their mindset here and there and I really hate it. That platform does not make good people. It's all fighting fire with fire until everyone and everything burns down. And tiktok is no different. Glad to still have people like you that inspire one another to be and do better in the fandom. I really need that.

It’s so toxic! I have never experienced a social media platform with the amount of toxicity that Twitter has. It’s mentally draining. It’s easy to want to jump on the bandwagon and defend the boys when you see a negative post, but it really is fighting fire with fire. Gets us no where. Years ago, twitter was never like this....this wave started once stan twitter became a thing. They will bring down other groups/solo artists just to elevate their group/solo artist and guess who receives the backlash.....the groups and solo artists. The best thing to do on all social media apps is to remain a small account, try not to engage or participate in fanwars( even if they say you're a "cupcake" for being quiet) and mute and block whoever or whatever bothers you.

Completely agree, Mel. Thanks for using your platform to make it clear that respect is the higher way. I too was horrified by the horrible comments on BOTH sides. I think we all sometimes forget our behaviour reflects on them as you said. I never thought about it but he could well also have felt the need to apologise because of negative stay behaviour though he never pointed the finger at fandom in his apology. He took the full weight because he always carries so much responsibility. We all have to do better. That’s why I do dislike social media a lot of the time. Things are said/written that few people would dare say to a living breathing human being’s face. Thanks for being so reasonable and thoughtful.

This was a great video thank you. I have the luck of having a perfect timeline but I guess younger people who wants to interact outside of the fandom or multistan can see more infuriating things and engage. Literally the worst thing you can do. I agree that some stays said a group name straight away (not useful), but the other fandom sure jumped right on it. Anyway, let us think of peaceful moments. You're right. It's really disappointing how both fandoms have behaved and as Stay I can tell you that if I don't like an artist or another group I'm not going to say bad things or wish them the same thing, I just ignore them and dedicate myself to making Stray Kids have the success they deserve.

I love your channel and your reactions! I agree with what you said in the intro. As an individual STAY I sometimes feel a little powerless to do anything about the bad behaviour within this fandom (I know that most STAYs are good and respectful, I love being a part of it, but the toxic ones are loud and reflect badly on all of us), but your video is just perfect: you have a platform so it can actually have an impact, you use it to call out the bad behaviour, remind people that it affects Skz negatively and how Skz would like us to be as a fandom, then follow it with love and appreciation towards Skz, and especially towards Chan who got unfairly caught in the crossfire between the fandoms. Thank you ❤

Thank you lovely! I think it’s important for us to all keep our head “above water” in the sense that we can’t let ourselves get drowned out by the negativity. As soon as you get pulled into it, it’s hard to stop and you can get so worked up. Not only is it a negative reflection on SKZ but it’s also not good for our mental health. And that should be important as well ❤️

I am a Stay and a Dive. It’s rough out here haha. I’m not sure how familar you are with IVE members, but a lot of the “jokes” I saw Stays making about IVE were related to disbandment and it was very frustrating for me… Two of the IVE members were in IZ*ONE which was a temporary group formed from Produce 48 (survival show type thing), when they disbanded it was super hard on them all. When those two members (Wonyoung and Yujin) redebuted in IVE, they spoke a lot about how difficult it was to let go of IZ*ONE, adapt to being some of the oldest in IVE when they were the maknaes in IZ*ONE, how they struggled to find their identity within a new group/new members. I’ve followed them so closely so I just really hate disbandment jokes (in general but especially with them). I won’t get into the things Dives said because it makes me really upset and you already know. I just think this context is kinda important? People don’t realize the weight of their words and we need to do better as a fandom. Stay is my primary fandom so that’s why I’m saying this. Anyway, I agree with all your points in your intro! Very well said Mel. Also, in the first video you watched, there was a clip where they were on a music show interview for Case 143. The MC who asked the question is actually Wonyoung, an IVE member. If you watch the full interview the boys smiled at her fondly a lot and her and Chan bowed to each other. I just thought it was interesting you saw that clip considering everything haha

Chris explicity asking us to no get involved in fanwars with other fandoms months ago, last Chan's Room saying again explicity that he may be incorrect and didn't want things to scalate because he feels comfortable telling us how he feels... And his own fandom do THIS????????????? I'm SO dissapointed. Yesterday I was so legit angry, mad, sad, and all of negative emotions when I read he apologized because of his fandom behaviour????? I'm seriously tired. Also the nasty things directed to him by other fandom will ever be forgotten neither. I'm so pissed with K-pop community and their dehumanization towards idols.

Hi Mel! How are you? Hope you're doing well. 😊 I'm..not even gonna speak about fandoms here coz..I'm not gonna let people have their take on what they did 'best' for their respective groups without even thinking that there's an actual person , a human involved in the middle of it. I just really hope channie is okay. That's the first thing that comes into my mind. Channie's room is a safe place not just for stays but especially for chan , which allows him to openly talk about things he wants to talk with us. The fact that his safe place is being destroyed is what angers me. There are people dragging him for apologizing, Mel ...like for real it's STILL going on... I want those people to know that channie apologized because he respects himself more than those fucking opinions of what people think about him. He is and always will be the better person and no matter whoever tries to drag him down, chan will always rise above it. Always. All we need to do as a fandom is to block any haters out and focus on SKZ. We need to drown it all and just continue to show our love and gratitude for the boys! He deserves none of this. The more we don’t engage the quicker it will be over xx

Mel, I 1000% agree with your intro comments. Thanks for sharing This was such a positive and fun reaction. It felt like such positivity was really needed at the moment. Re the wow thing, could it be an Aussie thing and something you picked up from Chan? Saying wow is fairly common for Aussie's maybe some of our accents make it sound a bit sarcastic? I could be wrong however, I think I remember in one of your videos you were not sure if Chan's wow's were genuine due to his tone. So it could also be that you were also influenced by Chan. Red lights, Heyday and 3racha are awesome songs.

I agree and I did go on to their Insta and try to shut down a few of those arguments. I, personally, take offense to this idea that Dives are putting out there that Chan and Stays started this speculation regarding IVE. IVE has had a reputation for A LONG time, Stays just picked up on that and based on the lineup at Music Bank, came to the obvious conclusion based on a reputation that was already out there. Whether it's deserves or not, I can't say. I don't care enough about IVE to really look into it. But acting like Chan started any of this is absurd to me. BUT there are much better ways to defend him, I agree. Sadly, a lot of his fandom are teenagers and most just don't have the maturity to not stoop to the level Dives have gone to. It's sad that Chan had to apologize for something he's not responsible for, I wonder if IVE would have the class enough to similarly apologize for the behavior of their fandom...

Both fandoms behaved really disgvsting. "They started first", "no, they", does it matter? It doesn't justify the insvlts. No matter how you are provoked, you decide how to react and your words are your responsibility. I'm ashamed and sad that Channie apologized for a bunch of immature "stays". don't make the members feel ashamed of their fandom. Let's respect all artists and be the best fandom for Stray kids

I totally agree with your intro Mel. I hate that Chan have to apologize when all points he said was true and what he felt was valid. Knowing that a lot of idols also stated the same and only Chan got this reaction from his opinion. I never want to comment on tweets saying harsh things to him coz I know Chan wouldn't like that. What is going on right now is quite normal when some k-pop band growing bigger. Fandom starts to be "cool" place for a lot immature, obssesive, delusional people who, becase they can not get their own s**t or are too young to thinking in logical way, think they can sey anything and being rude. Why? Because they think idols are they own property. I'm Stay and die hard Exo-L for years so i seen too manny idols who apologized for litteraly everything because this kind of "fans". Sad and annoying 😑

i am not on twitter... so i am very out of the loop with drama and i know something is going on, but i don't know WHAT.... it's good to not have twitter i guess ;) unfortunately no matter what fandom you are in, not everyone is mature, or sane or old enough and every fandom has crazies in them. it's not for us to control. cause we are not the types to do that, but there are always loonies within the fandoms. hopefully skz understand that REAL stays don't DO all these crazy things... like with bts - they have some INTERESTING fans sometimes haha - and some of the members have said, they *know* that those people are not army. they don't even consider them as such. so i hope that stray kids will think the same. there are a lot of lonely and crazy people in the world and they will not all be kind. sadly 💕

Actually they are talking about season three which is Finding Skz: Get edition. Which came out during promotions of Case 143. The Finding Skz: god edition was season two.💜💜💜💖💖💖

Whatever stays said was no where near disgusting what dives has been saying about Chan. Literal death threats, calling him pedo, being outright xenophobic? And they making troll accs to make deepfakes of the girls and pinning that on us? Yeah they can rot I’m not sorry

I saw a couple of posts from stays saying the exact same thing. I really hope they were the only 2 comments out there that were like this. I hope we weren’t as bad, I truly do. I hope people can block and report any accounts like these they come across. Majority of the time they just say it to get a reaction. People love the drama. If we don’t give them that satisfaction they will stop.

I understand turning the other cheek. But the core of the issues raised have been compounding for some time with unfortunately no end in sight and no real accountability by using a scapegoat. No change will occur and we will see this issue come up again :(

I understand that, and I’m not saying turning the other cheek. But it’s the way people are going about it. Fighting fire with fire is never the answer. What exactly are people getting out of arguing in the way they are? Stopping down to their level when replying literally achieves nothing
