Kpop is more of an industry than a genre. This song created Stray Kids own genre called mala taste. Backdoor is the next song they came out with after that one. Recommend Thunderous, Maniac or Easy Kitchen - cooking up new tracks Track ‐ racing past the competition Scientists- experimenting with music Construction- building beats

My standard post when I find a reactor who is visiting Stayville: They are worth every moment of your time. TRUST ME when you get to this later stage of your life (early 50s), you don't have time to mess around listening to garbage. I am that 70s/80s kid who absolutely had their mixtapes of every genre and style and for whatever reaaon, Kpop was never on my radar. I was that person who scrunched her nose at it...UNTIL Stray Kids. They were my gateway and now the ultimate group by which I measure ALL music. Even my R&B/Hip Hop listening husband has separate kpop playlists and is intrigued by the talent and work ethic of these artists! Back to SKZ... what I absolutely love is that they have had a hand on almost every single one of their tracks from before their beginnings and have one of the most diverse and eclectic discography filled with genius compsition and lyrics. I love.how self aware they are and it comes through on every track. Every song is carefully constructed with masterful and clever lyrics and they can flex FACTS without being assholish or putting down anyone else. Not bad for a bunch of guys who are haven’t hit 27! They have years of content that would keep a channel busy and a fandom that is incredibly dedicated. It's definitely their own megaverse. I hope you can dive deeper. They will be in the sights of western mainstream media with their upcoming release on July 19th. Rumor has it *wink wink* (there is so much history behind that collab) that they will feature someway/somehow in Deadpool and Wolverine. Our guess is that they will be on the soundtrack. I also believe we'll catch them somewhere IN the film. They are a group worthy of every accolade. Each member brings their talent to the table in a unique way and they truly seem like good humans. I'm looking forward to watching their continued meteoric rise! #straykidsworlddomination

My latest guilty pleasure is watching people discover Stray Kids just like I did. I had the same pre conceived idea about Kpop as an American. You hear the word and assume the Korean version of Backstreet boys or something (who I loved back in the day, but wouldn't be interested in discovering now at 30 lol) I had heard a song or 2 over the years and they never made me want to look into more. This song is what changed that for me. I heard this about a year ago and I am STILL on my deep dive of Stray Kids because they have so many songs and so much other content. I have branched out to listening to a few other groups but none as much as these guys! I will let the other Stays give you all the info on these guys because they are always thorough, but you really can't go wrong in whatever way you choose to take this journey down their rabbit hole. I will say the best experience is to go back to the beginning and explore with them as they experiment and grow, but that could mean the full dive or just picking a few songs every era! Subscribed to watch your journey!

This is the song that got my started! Thank you again for reacting to this one. As other said in the last one the members themselves produce everything themselves other than filming the MVs. Again thank you so much!! Recommendations by Stray Kids : Topline, Megaverrse, Thunderous, and my all time favorite Cheese! Recommendations for Retrowave : Carpenter Brut - Turbo Killer, and Gunship - Fly for Your Life

Stray kids reaction #2 AND a personal shout out 😂???!!! Subbed! Here for anything stray kids! A few varried suggestions (bc i don't have a complete feel for your preferences yet): " top line" for both hard and lazy rap w a feature by Tiger JK, "lalalala" for a chaotic but joyful hype song, "megaverse" for an epic mix of everything, "the sound" for rockish elements, "domino" dance practice for choreo that will blow up your impression that american boy bands can touch their dancing, "easy" for sleak but unique hip hop, " freeze" for a cinematic dubstep experience, "s class" for a master class trip through pop music styles and history, "why?" For one of the most sonically pleasing songs ever😂. Tytyty, again, for this reaction!❤

Stray Kids are a self produced group so they really do not sound like anything else in KPop. They compose, write, produce and arrange their own songs and often get a major say in who does and what is their choreography. At the end of the day, they are a group so the dances are group but they tend to go WAY harder in their dance than other group. Domino dance practice is a great example. (Also a banger song) Also last point, since they are self produced, they play in almost every genre. There are so many good songs. Freeze and Easy are good next ones maybe for you - there are a ton and there is no wrong place to start so enjoy! The fandom is named STAY and STAYs like to welcome new fans to Stayville - so, Welcome to Stayville and the Stray Kids corner of the musical multiverse. I think you will like it here. 😊

A lot of people have clarified that kpop is an industry and not necessarily a genre but I do appreciate your acknowledgment that not all Korean music is automatically kpop bc a lot of times people do lump khiphop (some kpop groups write hip hop songs but khiphop is it’s own industry) and independent artists in with kpop

I like your reaction, because Stray Kids have their own genre, they created Malataste, they are very different because their songs are always very powerful, it is aggressive but addictive. The truth is that their 90s and 2000s electronic vibe is what caught my attention, they are unique!! You have to consider the fact that they are self-produced, they do everything themselves, obviously they have a staff but they record their songs in the studio themselves, everyone participates in the creation, Lee Know and Hyunjin in the choreographies, everyone does everything!! They are genius!!

Dude! Thanks for the shout out. 👍🏽 I'm glad you're having fun. Above all else, above the obvious talent, above their wonderful stage presence, above their dedication to pushing themselves to try new things, Stray Kids are fun. It's fun music made by nice genuine people who really care about what they're saying and how. #WelcometoStayville

Never thought I'd like kpop but here I am, totally into it and not getting out. Always liked rock and metal before. I just ordered 3 versions of the new album of Stray Kids, released on the 19th, called ATE. And I just ordered 2 versions of Jimin's (BTS) new album. I'm whipped now. Kpop is all so different. Groups are pretty different. Stray kids is known for this weird genre, it's called Mala Taste. Other groups are known for other things. Try megaverse or maniac or thunderous

I am so here to follow this journey with you! It’s gonna be a wild ride, especially with stray kids (SKZ). Right from the get-go, though I love how you can already tell how much effort and attention to detail was put in by all involved in the music video. K-pop really is a whole other world and they take music and singers to a whole new level! (The members are called idols, just fyi!) You’ve already gotten a lot of great recommendations, but some of my personal favorites are Thunderous, Back Door (lots of K-pop groups will tease new songs or videos in their music videos like they did at the very end of this one for Back Door!), LALALALA, Easy and Double Knot!! But if I’m being honest, I haven’t found a song of theirs I haven’t loved yet so I’m looking forward to whatever you react to!!

Cant believe your "The Kid Laroi" reaction has already been taken down... I've had shit luck with Laroi related things too recently though. I've been supposed to be going to his OKC concert for months now, but he just keeps pushing back the date. (Most of it isnt his fault I don't think, but its frustrating) I showed up in OKC last month for the concert (one month early and realized too late🤦‍♂️) only to have it be pushed back for a THIRD time and not until SEPTEMBER!
