There's also a lot of english words or full sentences in kpop songs 🙂 In that song there's the whole pre-chorus part from 0:30 to 0:50 in english tho and english words here and there throughout the song ! I'm laughing because somehow I became aware of this group and now I'm a fan. If you look at my playlists you'll see that I'm not into K-Pop or really any current pop music. I am into fashion though, and photos/videos of Felix and Hyunjin at the European fashion weeks intrigued me. Now I'm watching Stray Kids videos and I'm impressed. Still not really my kind of music but these guys are all very talented, hard-working, stylish, and gorgeous. The VMA performance was powerful, I especially love the segment starting at 1:09 with the aggressive running-man dancing, the graphics on the stage, and the camera work mimicking cell phone video. I can totally understand why this group has built up such a huge fan base.

I will always be proud that they went to an American award show representing Kpop and performed a KOREAN SONG. Stray Kids have never changed themselves or their music for others. Despite all the hate they receive for 'noise' music, they still keep doing what they like since they absolutely love and are proud of their own art ❤

It was an awesome performance. They weren’t the first and won’t be the last to perform an entirely Korean song. BTS did DNA on the AMAs in 2018 and brought down the house. Even though I don’t know Korean, I love K-POP and it was because of BTS’ song Butter that started it all. I loved it, but my favorite song of theirs is one of the earliest, Fire, and it too is Korean with a few English words. Proving that music is a universal language. I’m so excited to see more KPOP artists being featured on awards shows.

I hope you are doing well now. They really helped a lot. There will be a world tour soon, we hope they will come to Europe. I heard that in Germany it is very difficult to compete in the music market, but their album managed to break through. This year Stray Kids had many great achievements, when they were nominated for the Vmas award, performed on the Vmas stage and even more amazing was when they received the Best-Kpop award here. They totally deserve it because they worked so hard and STAY tried so hard to vote for them

I'm 36 years old, but never getting old for Stray Kids. Their music are complete. Love from Stay's Indonesia😍

Watching it again in 2024 because it was so AMAZING 🔥

The fact that they still put Korean elements into their performances at American awards is amazing. idc men, Korea should be proud of Stray Kids

@@ved6767 That is Bang Chan. You can start with their title song M/Vs. The most popular ones are Gods Menu, Thunderous, Maniac, Code 143. Also there are the Bside videos which shows their other sides such as Freeze, Venom, Red Light, Cheese, Topline, Get Lit etc. There are many more as they are very productive and release many songs with videos. In November 10 they will drop their new album titled Rock Star.

If you didn't know Stray Kids until the VMAs, give them a chance, they are amazing. I recommend the songs: Hall Of Fame, Item, Super Bowl, Social Path. And what can't be missed, listen to their 5 star album, all the songs are great 🫶🥰

And wrote the song and this epic remix themselves! This is only 1 tiny portion of Stray Kids, their huge self produced discography is EVERYTHING. Like Channie said. For a lot of us their music came to us when we really needed it and helped us a lot or even for some of us saved our life. Their honesty is a huge, huge part of it. Not just how much they shine and win. Some of their darkest songs are their best.

I stumbled over them almost a year ago and fell HARD! Lol I also never got into kpop; don't know korean, so I'd thought it'd be difficult to appreciate the music. Nope! Lol their songs transcend language barriers, and when I look up the lyrics, I'm touched by their sentiment and vulnerability! Anyway, an amazing bunch of guys, inside and out! 😊 Have you looked into any of their other music? I really can't get over the stage, the outfits, the song arrangements, they really know how to hype a crowd and bring so much energy, also praises to the dancers too they did an amazing job. Stray Kids will always bring something different and you never know what to expect from their performances and there's one thing for sure: they never disappoint. Proud to be a Stay

I discovered Stray Kids a few months ago through a friend and I‘m a Stay since then! This is the first VMAs performance I‘ve seen of them and it is not from this world. Congratulations on the win! They deserved it 100%!

it's been five months and people are still having that english vs korean debate in the comments. for the love of god, kpop itself isn't a "genre", it's literally any music sung in the korean language. there are plenty of other genres that are within the music such as pop, hip-hop, etc. stray kids are a KPOP GROUP. if they want to perform at the vmas with a KOREAN SONG, it's entirely their right to! nobody's saying there's an issue with singing in english, stays are just commending the boys for sticking to their native language despite how stigmatized kpop is in the western music industry. none of it was shade towards other groups. can't we just drop this and enjoy their incredible success both performance and awards? 2023 was HUGE for them!
