Chan, Han and lee Know speaks the best Japanese, part because of how much anime they watch, part because of the language lessons they take. Because they also need to promote in Japan and other countries, everyone in the company is taking English, Japanese lessons, and foreigners take Korean lessons. This even includes JYP that can speak really well English and started to learn Japanese the moment he started to work on Nizi Project (project to debut their 1st Japanese group NiziU).

I love how sweet Chan is when asking them to repeat a part or when correcting them, and he is also so reassuring, always complimenting them and helping them get through the difficult parts with a positive mindset. Best leader indeed ❤

@@alinasmith5737 the members always say they feel very comfortable recording with him in the studio as opposed to how they felt recording with other producers. They speak a lot about his patience and gentle manners, not only the members but the staff as well. I’m sure he gets frustrated and is not an angel all the time but I choose to believe Chan is not the kind of person to let out his anger on others and always treats everyone as nicely as possible

@@Youngbok-ah yall are really funny. Chan is human. He apologised to Felix for "being hard on him". He talked about having a temper and needing to learn how to control it. Of course he yelled at probably all of them before. Would he nowadays? Probably not often or at all. But we dont know. We only see what they want us to see. Dont be so naive.

I love how totally unserious Changbin is when recording 😂

Han speaks Japanese too. All the members are improving steadily but Lee Know, Chan and Han are already considered fluent in Japanese.

Chan used to speak Japanese with the Japanese members of Twice when he was still a trainee 😅😊 he is really good friends with Sana. Sana confirmed their friendship by telling that Chan used to buy meat for the Twice members when they were om a really strict diet regiment.

Seungmin is such a pro, he just walks in, lays it down in a couple of takes, which they don''t need sometimes cause he is THE First Take King (Cover Me anyone), and walks away, leaving folks stunned, like the boss he is. Same thing with his behind the scenes for his Phobia OST. And his American English is so good. He sounds like he is from here

Chan, Lee Know and Han are the best at Japanese in the group.

I have to agree, Changbin’s aggressive Rap is one of the reasons why he’s one of my favorite rapper. Then comes Han’s smooth rap 😢

14:36 Bang Chan is very close with Twice members since he's training years. And since he's close with the japanese members of Twice (espacialy Sana) he probably learned japanese from them. And he must have some lessons on the side too like Lee Know.

They all learned Japanese because they have songs in Japanese but Lee Know is the most fluent. They also just had their first and biggest fanmeeting in Japan where most of them spoke in Japanese.

Yes! Watching them at work is HOT. Lee Know had a cold at the first session. Not the best for the result, but Chan stopped him.very soon....he was belting. And belting when your throat isn't in a good condition can actually cause damage. So it was very good to see him stop it. They all take language lessons, especially Japanese and English. Some focus more on one of them

imagine making the only member fluent in JP (lee know) sing only in english for a JP release when hes one of the most popular members in JP😭😭

8:23 on the left side there was a notice that lee know had a mild cold thats why they did the recording another time 14:03 its versachoi, a friend of them and they help each other 14:32 bang chan learned a lot from twice sana, they once got lessons from jype too but now everyone learn it by themself. chan is learning a lot from friends and animes actually also he can speak a dialect too haha but lee know is the most confident one in understanding, translating and speaking and a bit better

I love all of their recording sessions! The attention to detail, how supportive Chan is. I.N. smiled so big here when Chan told him he was steadily improving.

12:36 Channie tends to direct himself (with help from Skijigi or Versochoi(?) at the booth) and he is a little more.. meticulous when it comes to himself ❤ The rest of 3Racha and the other members applaud his attention to detail and say he's amazing at wrapping everything up nicely when 3Racha chaos brainstorms. It's crazy seeing how much ALL the members have improved and how much more sure they are of themselves after all these years! 😁

Lee Know was sick during his first recording and his voice wasnt cooperating, and he was getting frustrated. So Chan being the best leader literally just told him to go home and rest for a few days, then they would rerecord.

The reason they recorded Lee Know at a later date is because his vocal tone was off. If you notice the "You only get to live one life..." sounds flat in some parts and strained others due to him being sick the first time so Chan chose to stop to let him rest and save recording time. The second time Lee Know's vocals are much clearer. Similar with Hyunjin. As to who is directing Chan...Chan is directing himself for the most part, he just has someone running the equipment, so he can hear the play back and adjust. I believe Chan studied Japanese when he was younger but he practiced with some of the Twice members.

Chan knows Japanese! So does Leeknow and Han is pretty good at it also. The rest, I'm not sure, but they know conversational phrases and basics for sure. (It says that Hyunjin and Leeknow had a cold and that's why they recorded at a later date, since it obviously impacts your voice, but Hyunjin still had a blocked nose when he re-recorded and did brilliantly).

I think they re-recorded Lee Know and Hyunjin because they were both sick on the first recording day, Hyunjins nose was still a bit stuffy on the 2nd recording, that's why he said he couldn't breathe! Also Hyunjin is always making out with the mic filter 🤣 it's so funny hahaha

This has probably already been said but why they shot Lee Know again later, it's because some days your voice just can't hit the notes. Like maybe you're sick or you didn't get enough sleep or you drank too much the day before. The voice is a picky instrument and doesn't always want to perform 100% 100% of the time. As my vocal coach said, this is why a lot of singers make modifications during their live performances to those high notes. Some days they sing them a bit lower. My worst enemy was sleep. Hahah. I have a problem getting enough sleep on a regular basis (occassionly have insomnia) and it just kills my voice. Also, with Hyunjin and his stuffy nose, sometimes there's really nothing you can do when you got a cold but even when I didn't have a cold I sometimes take nasal decongestants before recording 😅

8:19 It's because his condition wasn't good enough to sing. Sometimes 3racha direct together, sometimes Han, bangchan or changbin, bangchan or bangchan alone direct because they will direct the songs that they made it. For example leave is changbin, bangchan song blindspot is Han, bangchan song. Actually skz members all of them have directing experience they direct themselves for their solo songs.

They do it with all the songs on the pronunciation checking. They are super through! They take their work insanely serious. 3racha usually catches mistakes in the booth while recording and just stop and redo it it seems. Ive watched too much of their recordings 😂 stay forever ❤

As for chan knowing japanese, all of stray kids can speak japanese to a certain extent. However lee know is the so called designated japanese speaker since he prefers to focus of expanding his knowledge in japanese as opposed to english. Lee know seems to be more comfortable with japanese in comparison to english and because he knows that most of his members speak a good level of english he chooses not to put all his efforts in english and instead japanese. At most award ceremonies it is lee know who does the speeches but chan also does them. Also I would like to mention that because JYP has a good amount of japanese idols and trainees it also probably helps that they pick up on some japanese. Many idols know how to speak japanese so they can promote in japan and make music in japanese.

Chan is so kind and patient with everyone, but so hard on himself and quick to discard his attempts. Sure, he had others try again, but you can really see him instantly hating his own lines and it makes me a little sad to see him be his own worst critic. I know we can always improve on ourselves, but it's important to note progress doesn't have to be instant, and you can take your time getting better.

The reason that they recorded it later for Lee Know is because he had a cold (or something of the sort) so he couldn't reach the notes he needed to for that part without his voice cracking.

The person tht caught my attention straight away when seeing Stray Kidz for the first time was ChangBin(hope I spelt it correctly) ❤

Lee Know and Hyunjin were actually sick during that recording. That's why they decided to record their parts at another time when they were feeling better and not struggling with sounding stuffy.

Since they do promotion actively in japan, usually they will have a basic class on the language. It is just either u want to go further like lee know, or just stop at basic. But i believe since they are really2 active in japan and go back n forth to japan, he just naturally practice more. Plus he is friend with few japanese, so yeah…
