As an ex-WAVE there is NO way I would encourage any woman to join the navy today. In my day those exposed as homosexuals were discharged. Today, I would worry about my back shoulder some TG assault me and the higher ups would not have me protected but probably discharge me. Our military is weak and vulnerable for any attack from our enemies today. As a country I do not see us lasting until 2030.
Russia is able to get 300k volunteers per year, on top of the draft. Their army is 3x the understaffed US Army. My cousins served, and won't let their kids.

Veteran here. I'm very worried about our military readiness at this very moment. If we don't see change soon, we will pay dearly for our complacency and DEI metrics the government thinks are important! We need the best and brightest that know what the military requires of them.

As a former soldier I feel Politics have no place in the Military. I did not care about the politics of the soldier in the foxhole with me, I just cared that he knew his job and had my SIX just as I new my job and had his SIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
