I trade the US markets and use something similar on "VIX" to decide what strategy I want to use to trade on a certain day or week. Just like you, I also have 3 state of VIX. Low, medium and high. I use these states to determine what kind of strategy. I decide low, medium and high state based on RSI on "VIX" I setup my RSI at 55 as overbought and 45 as oversold. If my RSI indicator shows below 45, I consider it low VIX, if between 45-55, I consider it medium VIX and when above 55, I consider it high VIX.
