STRANGEST V8 Engine Ever Made
Ғылым және технология
Dieter Hartmann-Wirthwein patented a system in which four cylinders operate using only one single connecting rod. This allows all four pistons to work as a single mechanical assembly, which transmits power to the crankshaft via a single connecting rod on a single crankpin

Not really, just increases friction, and is an inefficient way to transfer energy from the cylinders.
It appears that the energy of the power stoke from the outer two pistons only contributes to the compression stoke of the inner two pistons and not to the crankshaft power. This means that the engine performance is essentially the same as a basic 4 cylinder, but with the compilation of added mass, friction and components. Looks neat, but I don't see any benefit

Any headphones will let you hear what the microphone could manage in its crippled state. That’s why it sounds quiet but it’s actually just too loud to hear.

Tutorial of how to wake your whole neighborhood
Garage ❌ 2nd story Balcony in neighborhood ✅
Sounds nice and smooth.
If I were his neighbor, we'd put that in a bike, not just on the balcony.

@GrandmasterAliviper v10 bike believe it pal 😂
The thing is it vibrated through my phone that shit has some torque
that would make a crazy go cart
This would be my favorite neighbor ever if he lived miles away 😂
For anyone else wondering, 52 cubic inches is about 850cc

850 CC is not a lot of displacement. Hondas l L12B seen in the Honda jazz in 2008 produces 90 horsepower with a 1.2L (1200CC) engine.

@@Quindarious_Gooch_ it is pretty big for a motorcycle engine. I have a 1990s Honda Hornet which produces around 100hp from 600cc, and that is not exactly a fast bike.

@@patrickmkivyou can’t put that size on a bike. But I understand what he wanted to do. The engine is not for car or production, it was a fun project so it’s understandable.

@@boxoffisano, it doesn’t seem to have any practical purpose, but it is made from 2 Ducati bike engines.

@@patrickmkiv wow. That’s impressive. I didn’t get it at first. Now I get the whole picture and what you were talking about. Making it from Ducati engine is awesome. Hopefully he makes more stuff like that and get posted.
Someone looked at a V2 and thought how crazy it would be to make it into a V8 while keeping the same number of rods
Dieter's answer to the guy upstairs who plays music too loud. Put my custom engine with open exhaust on my balcony and run it for a few minutes
I miss that whine. It’s been two years. Time to get back in the game
That thing sounds great!
Id be up there drinking beer with this guy If I lived below him. What a badass design
