The Duffers probably are keeping her in the dark as much as possible so she doesn't spill anything out. But she sure will make another appearance. They absolutely would not have put that ending scene with Hopper if we would not be seeing her again.

I've heard a fan theory that the upside down world is a alternative timeline of our world where the cold war (witch is an important theme in the series) escalated into a hot war. The all kinds of nuclear, and perhaps also chemical and biological weapons rained down and ended the world as we knew it. Out of the few surviving living creatures, the radiation created a bunch of hideous mutants. The reason why it is so dark and cold in there is because the nukes trowed up ash in the atmosphere, causing a nuclear winter. That could also explain why the atmosphere in there is so toxic, it's full of waste from the nukes and dirt thrown in the atmosphere by them. The suits protects from radiation as well as toxic gas.

I think it was Eleven who's being chased by the demogorgon back in the first ep. And Will was just happen to appear at the wrong time/place. That'll explain the moving doorlock (because it was El's telekinetic) and why she recognized Will the first time she sees his pic.

Omg, you are so right, when the demogorgon opens the doorlock side ways, have u notice in s2 eps 6 or 7 eleven opens up the door upwards when she sees aunt becky, she came to see her mama, the reason why i am saying this because the demogorgon opens up the door too and i think eleven is apart of the demogorgon because they both opened up door because the demogorgon didn't open up the doors with his hands, u literally read my mind

I'm sure even if Millie did know if she was in it or not, she wouldn't even be allowed to say it. They'll want to keep it as a surprise. And we all know she's a hell of an actress... her playing innocent and saying she doesn't know if she's gonna be in the next season might just be a way to misguide us. And hell, maybe the Duffers really did not tell her anything and they're keeping her in the dark for as long as possible until they actually need her in. But god damn it I really want this kid to be in the next season. She's soooo good.

I think the game that the kids were playing actually summoned the Demogorgan. I don't think Elle was APART of the Demogorgan but she was some sort of leader or ruler of that dimension (or another dimension) and she was the portal to earth. Remember when Joyce and Hopper went into the other dimension to get Will and the bad guys made them put on the suits because it was "toxic"? Well i think that since he was in there for so long, he now has the ability to jump dimensions and maybe we'll see him go into more in future seasons!

As much as I want to know if Eleven is coming back. I hope they don't reveal that until the series comes out. That would be the ultimate surprise that if they almost convince people she is not coming back, and then have her pop up a couple of episodes in. The Duffer brothers say the way they want to start the next series is start it really calm and like everything is ok. Then they will gradually build up to all the chaos. Bring in eleven when all hell breaks loose.

Here's my theory...The Demogorgon took Will, who is on the brink of puberty, to incubate the slugs in his body, which over time takes over his body as he becomes the new Demogorgon. The Demogorgon feeds on everyone else as their bodies have already matured/aren't capable of hosting the slugs. The upside down is a means for the DG to travel around without being detected until Eleven broke open the gate. Eleven is 'Jane' who was supposedly miscarried in the third trimester whilst her mother and the others were experimented on in the 70s Eleven and the DG are connected because of her telekinetic/Psychic abilities which allow her to tap into The Upside Down which the DG can sense. Missing children (pre/incoming puberty) become hosts and adults and animals are food... Only one of the many theories I have come up with so far

well the prediction on eleven being jane was correct

I Will in the show is special and important to the plot. I mean he was the only person who we knew from the show to survive for 7 days in the upside and like Gaten said has some sort of power to manipulate both worlds. Also i think he special considering the demagorgen took him to the upside down despite the fact that he wasn't bleeding like barb

i just thought of a theory. the tattoo on eleven’s arm is “011” and in season two connie’s is “008.” does there’s a place for the hundreds spot in the tattoo. at first i thought there were only like, 15 of them, but maybe there are hundreds.

I have a theory. WARNING THIS MAY SPOIL STUFF. Anyways here it is: When Hopper and Joyce went into the upside down and it seemed to be in the same place as Joyce's house but darker so pretty much mirrored. So when the lights were lighting up while Nancy and Johnathan were trying to find where the demagorgan was, it was the same area as where Hopper and Joyce were. So every time they walked there, that's where the lights would light up. When Joyce was communicating with Will with the letters on the wall he was touching the letters on the wall. Just a theory.

Millie is 100% precent coming back at some point in the next season. Will as we know , now has this slimy things inside of him which is connected to Demogorgan who istelf is connected to Eleven .
