I've seen a lot of these "strangely familiar" videos before but this one feels so much more familiar than all the rest, literally to the point where I can recall certain memories that took place somewhere uncannily similar to this. Example: I remember being in the house at 0:10. My parents were considering buying this house, and I recall walking through it a bit, and can even remember some of the home design. I feel like I've been to 0:28 when I was younger, it's a clinic (although I can't remember what sort). 0:31 is a hotel I remember walking around with my father in when we were going back to our rooms. Anyway, this comment has gone on long enough, so I guess I'll be going now.

0:23 staying at a cabin or a relative's house next to a larger rural town, there's a party at someone else's cabin or a festival in town and you hear muffled country or pop music 0:32 you're with your friends at a pool in a small town hotel, it's 9:30 PM and you know you're going to be heading back to your room soon with your parents. There's a racing arcade machine downstairs that illuminates the far corner 1:38 your mom is busy getting something checked at a front desk somewhere and lets you go outside, there's nothing out there and it's like 40 degrees out so you just go back inside 2:08 you're walking back from a large building and your dad parked way too far away for some reason, it started snowing while you were in there but it's not that cold yet 2:32 you're bored because one of your parents is talking with someone else's parents after a sports practice so you decide to explore the rest of the closed building

I finally realize what my memories are to me, they're all I know, they're what forged my personality and realizing that these memories are only cherished by me bothers me, they'll be nothing in 50 years. Everything ends and the thought of losing everything I know scares me a lot. My friends and family, nothing will be remembered. I cling to these memories because they're the only thing reminding me of my youth, and i cling to these memories because they're the only thing that makes me recognize myself as a human. I can't let them go as much as it hurts to remember them it gives me joy, more than anything else that happens in the present. The past is who we are, we can never let go of the past.

Here are some memories I get from the photos 0:02: A water park about two hours from my house. 0:06 My childhood community pool 0:10: “Bold Castle” in the thousand islands 0:19 Great Wolf Lodge 0:30 A crazy dream that would take too long to explain but it fucking terrified me when I saw this 0:37 Another really fucking weird dream where I was in a hotel 1:09 Backrooms 1:16 A popular bakery I went to as a kid 1:21 - 1:27 Backrooms 1:43 A stadium in my town 1:55 A pool inside a condo complex in Florida 2:06 Another dream I forgot about 2:16 An intersection on the way to my favourite ice cream parlour 2:27 Where I used to go trick-or-treating 2:32 End of 12th grade graduation ceremony 2:36-3:01 Backrooms 2:56 Great Wolf Lodge 3:03 Bowling alley Birthday parties 3:11 Backrooms 3:14 A parking garage in my city’s downtown 3:19 Grade 4 floor hockey tournament 3:43 Backrooms

im unnerved but filled with nostalgia... the song title is really how i feel. all you are going to want to do is get back there.

I remember swimming in that pool at 0:31
It's so odd, EATEOT is so unsettling, whereas EBBTW is deeply soothing, even though they're based in the same idea
0:18 I remember going to a place just like that a couple of years ago. It only had an orange water slide, but the familiarity is not that strange.

0:20 this is H2Oasis in Alaska, i was watching this with the “almost remember but not yet” feeling until that image showed up and it immediately clicked (I used to go there all the time as a kid so it’s kinda cool to see it here)
This is pure art.
This is somehow one of the most comforting videos I've ever watched
this song brings so many bad memories, it was the song that I was listening to during one of my most severe panic attacks to date
You went from this to Les Claypool lessons. Great character evolution!
I connected with this art. Thanks for posting. Did you make this?
With these videos I have 3 reactions 1. I have never seen anything like this 2. That is something everyone has seen 3. That is actually taken from my childhood what the hell
3:36 That is the most "East Coast" photo I've ever seen.
Places so new yet so old. Off yet comforting. Unnerving and upset for your forgetfulness of them. And yet, all you are going to want to do is get back there.
This feels like reliving my life I hope I can continue to make memories when I get better one day
imagine travelling the world, alone. nobody in sight but you, you see all there is to see with nobody by your side. you see every part of the world and in no part are there people, you see all the wonders of the world, small forgettable neighborhoods, every inch of Antarctica, the bottom of the ocean, small villages not many people even know existed, forests, jungles, cities, but you will never find a single soul, you are forced to walk a lonely world for all eternity, you dream of being in the world you used to live in with your family and friends. all you are going to want to do is get back there.
0:27 This one hits hard.
It’s simple really. These are images from the waiting room before life that’s why it looks so familiar.
0:10 I swear to god this looks just like the house me and my parents saw back in October of 2020 when we were looking for a new house... No joke, oh my god...
"All you are going to want to do is get back there, Benjamin."
Everybody gangsta till they take a picture of your hotel you are in
0:27 HMMMM I feel like I've been here before. In fact, I even remember playing with that thing there when I was little.
wtf i dont usually feel like i recognize the pics in these because i didnt grow up in america but this one rlly hit close to home
The nostalgia of when i was a child, i have key memories of each photo, with a very vague details of my memories. This music is beautiful :)
Is it weird that I find this comforting for some reason. Like some of these bring back good memories
The only thing liminal spaces tells me is that interior design all looks the same
the liminial spaces bring quite a bit of nostalgia
0:09 makes me feel feeling I have never felt before.. I kinda wanna go there. But it’s like, so familiar. Like I’ve been there recently or in the past..
0:30 that pool is the pool at Best Western Outlaw Inn in Rockspring, Wyoming
0:04 that's either myrtle waves or pirate land. I know it.
Even when I don't feel the anemoia, I still want to go to these places. Like the memory is just behind that corner or through the fog
All I feel is me running down a endless hallway with all my friends and the sprit of my grandma we’re gonna running with infinite stamina I’m running like 90s sonic Hands tucked to the sides and running this song…it just makes me feel like this Oh man…what if it did exist.
The goddamn fucking mushroom thing at the pool is sapient I swear to god
Lembranças antiga te fazem estar no passado, querendo ou não, uma vez feita, nunca mais tem volta.
0:03 oh my gosh i know i've been there before...my family and i were visiting tennessee a few years ago and we went to a waterpark that looked like that one.
0:01 that is the room of the daughter of a friend of my mother 0:02 the water park that I once went to with my mom and dad was called acuaventuras I don't know how it is now 0:11 the doctor's house in far cry 3
Yoooooooooo Brings back memories
Some of these images I can identify what in them makes it feel familiar to me based on my memories and experiences
I've found out how to make it so liminal spaces don't get to me. Just focus one a couple things. That kitchen, oh wow neat dining table dude. That empty daycare, all those blocks are really neatly stacked. That water park, neat weird umbrella thing in the water.
i love how my brain just generates a memory i never had
This is calmer now
The fact that some of these are actually real places hurts my brain
3:14 I swear that is the parking lot from the episode where Mr bean goes swimming
All of these places could have been popular long ago, but so now long forgotten. May be destroyed, or even Abandoned. That's what makes these spaces so liminal, Some pictures looks like something you saw lately, but these pictures have been taken long ago.
