Stranded in Uppsala?! Sweden Vlog #23

I made a mistake while editing this one, usually I add music when I'm just about done editing, this time I added music with a fairly rough timeline.. and by the time I noticed, I already put too much effort into editing to the music, so in turn we have these longer music transitions. Oh well!! Still hope you enjoy!!! Only 2 more videos after this one in the Sweden series!!
If you're curios about What music I use on these videos. It's all from Epidemic Sound. Highly recommend them If you are a content creator. Here is my referral link!!

Too bad you didn't entered the Uppsala Cathedral. It's open for everyone to visit. Swedens most famous king is buried there and you can see his stone casket. He's name was Gustav Vasa. The date he got crown is the day we in Sweden celebrate our national day. :)

you should have made a visit to Old Uppsala, just outside the city, to look at the old viking graves. Also the university is very nice, as well as the castle.... Think you missed a big part of the city :(

When you tried to go back to Stockholm, I asked myself: "why do rely on an app , why not just go to a train station or a bus station to get information" Thats what we did before the smartphones. Good thing though the problem was solved.that was the only way

From a small town a few hours north of Stockholm, I just wanted to say thank you for the amazing vlogs. I've binge-watched your entire Sweden trip and now I'm sad that it's over. :( I hope you will come back some day. Love your positive spirit and it's been great getting to tag along. Thank you and I wish you all the best.

I appreciate that so much, thank you🙏!!! There's still 2 more videos coming, I've just been a little lazy about editing since getting home. I'm going to work on the next one today though!!! And what town are you from? I'd love to visit it next time I'm in Sweden!! When we visited Torsby it was an awesome experience, I'd love to go see more small towns!!

@@VentureGroms It's called Söderhamn which is about 3-4 hours north of Stockholm. I'd recommend you go elsewhere, though, because there isn't much to see here haha. If you ever come back, then maybe go see the west coast, or go to Gotland (the large island on the south eastern coast) and its main city Visby, which is known as the Pearl of the Baltic Sea and is a well-preserved town from the middle-ages. Just make sure you go during the summer months. Every summer they also have a week-long event called "Medeltidsveckan" where people dress up and hold events celebrating the medieval past. But the entire island of Gotland is loved by tourists and Swedes alike. It's really a quite unique place and the entire island is worth exploring. If you're into hiking then I can recommend Kungsleden which is far into the mountainous northwest. It's a beautiful place and one of the largest nature-protected areas in Europe, but also a quite demanding journey over several days in the wilderness. There's a lot of information about it online if you Google the name. It's translated and known as "The King's Trail" in English. Anyway, looking forward to your last couple of videos. Stay safe and be well out there!

Stockholm and Uppsala are in different counties. And each county has their own system. Therefore the hustle.

Live in Gothenburg and never heard that food price would double if you eat in the resturant, some difference sure but not double. Maybe it's a covid thing on that specific resturant? However I think there are different taxes between the two options too, thats why they always ask you about it before you pay. Often it is the same price for you but they may pay different tax and not care about it, but they still need to declare it right to the tax agency. Lunch prices in Sweden can be MUCH cheaper, it's like an "happy hour" for food. Especially if they have a "Food-for-the-day" option or a buffet.

Oh that's Good point, maybe it was a covid thing!!!! Who knows, it was weird though, I haven't experienced that at any other restaurant so far!!

@@VentureGroms look for "Dagens" on the menu if you want to keep the lunch price down. Time slot for "dagens" may vary, but usually 11am to 2pm

No complaints except the price being a lot higher if you eat in the restaurant. I'd wanna go to Uppsala just for the viking connection. You almost did nothing in Uppsala though!
