This game is great. I pretty much got as far as I could in the game and switching to Surviving Mars. Will have to pick this one up again in a year or so when there's more content added.

looks like a 3D version of RimWorld, and it looks very cool. ive always wondered how the buildings and pawns looked like 3d, and now i can see it.

Yup, this is sort of what it would look like I suppose. There's no real z level to this game either ( where in a game like Going Medieval there is a z level to build upon )

@@Rhadamant I mean it would be really cool and really, really chaotic to have z-levels on Rimworld. :D Oh, Mech.raid on z -30 while there's about a 100 tribals on z=0? My pawns having an all out brawl with themselves and a prisoner on z=5? Someone is bleeding out on the roof because some angry bird hacked his eye out? I'm not sure if there's maybe a mod for z-levels for Rimworld? I admit, i've never played Dwarf fortress and i'm part of the probably surprisingly many people waiting for its release on steam.

@@Aurirang There've been a few mods that have added a few Z levels (2, -1 and +1 I believe). They've had some issues, as you might expect, and I've never actually used them, as it definitely seems to be an expansive-enough idea that I'd rather that the main team tries to add it on as a DLC later on. :P

Try not having relax or anything time in the middle of the day. You’ll find out that if they’re working outside the friendly camp area, they’ll stop what they’re doing, walk back to camp and find out they ran out of time to relax. Then they won’t finish the task they were working on. Or they’ll walk back to their job site, wasting those two or four hours. If they always stay in your base it’ll work out, having relax time in the middle of their day.

Found a totally dead seed, my first one had 0 bushes at all anywhere I could get to as I started on a mountain. Glad I watched this and saw I could change that.

Guerilla tactics work well early on

It looks like the developers really took a very heavy note from rimworld. :D The non andom people are a bit of a bummer, but i guess it helps with the continuity. I'm curious how this'll play out.

@@Rhadamant Yeh, i guess there's a distinctive lack of randomness in this game that makes Rimworld what it is. Maybe the developers will add some more random factors to give the game a replayability. Or they could add various alien races with different needs, (like maybe uv-sensitivity, different eatability of resources, sensitivity to electricity, special need for social interaction etc) tech and building styles. Given, that would be a very tall order and needs a good amount of balancing. As far as i've seen o far, which is frankly not much, the game has a very limited replayability.

Glad to be seeing your "TAKE" on this game. Really enjoyed seeing how the quality of the cooking is affecting the cast of characters. They crashed on a "brave new world that has such people in it", and there's a guy on the 2nd day that is upset because he doesn't have a better choice of meals. Bring him over to "The Swamp" for a day or two and I'll give him something to cry about; dragonflies, grubs, crickets, and mice. Yeah, he'd LOVE it here! LOL RIBBIT!!!

I'm curious how it will develop. As far as I know from their current development plan they mostly intend to introduce new maps and characters, but that's fairly limiting when it comes to replayability

Actually, the difficulty level determines when certain events happen. The easier, the more time it takes for bugs to atk. However, the events concerning joining survivers happen around the same time. 5 for à possible walkin, max 14 to fine one by balloon, etc.

Hmm .. yeah I can see that

I know a lot of people are joking/saying it’s like Rimworld but for me it more so feels like Going Medieval, going… sci-fi. I love that the portraits of the people feel like their generated off This Person Does Not Exist. In the future it would be really cool if you “generate” your own custom people. Totally going to add this to the ye old steam Wishlist and watch to see if it develops further.

I play so many games like Stranded Alien Dawn that its just another colony sim game to me, I don't compare it in my mind to others as they're all unique in their own way.

This game should be sending RimWorld a check or two

Nice showcase. The game has potential, looks clean and responsive, very beautiful too. However, more content and things to experiment with would give it longevity and more replayability...

There isn't too much replayability with the initial map, but a new map comes out in 2 days

Dang, you and I landed in almost the exact same location. Your traditional polls are going to be kind of rough because this game requires a total pause until a decision is made. I like that the pawns look like they are actually doing the tasks unlike in Ragnorum where they just seem to "punch" things. That seemed like a lazy design choice to me. That pulse gun is pretty worthless, even though it sounds so tough. Id rather two pistols or some other rifle.

Hi there

I am still having issues with the activities and getting the survivors to do what I want. I have set them the way you show, but with the release and new activities, I guessed what they needed to be. How do you select a survivor and then give them the specific task? I can only seem to draft them and move them close and sometimes they will perform, other times they go back to what they were doing. Thank you for your videos.

I had to google if this was a Ludeon made game... That is a total rip off of Rimworld and they're not even trying to hide it... the work priority tab is the same, game mechanics like Catharsis are the same. Only, you're locked to a single scenario... Crash landed!

There's a bunch of games like this one that share the same mechanics. RimWorld isn't even the first game to have mental breaks and catharsis.
