Why this makes so much sense in the Lion King is that the Lion King is based on Hamlet, a Shakespearean tragedy 😳 Read Hamlet, no one survives Hamlet getting his revenge. Of course that's not Hamlet's fault, his uncle was the one who poisoned the sword tip and Hamlet's wine. As soon as Disney started telling feel good stories of propaganda, marriages began to fail, divorce numbers rose and children think that everything will turn out okay no matter what happens, until it doesn't. Life rarely has happy endings, even the death of slavery in The United States took 628k men's lives, not including civilians and one of the greatest President's or even leaders of all time.
