I think what got to me the most watching this cutscene in-game was realising that i was forgetting the Eleazar and how much it affected the lives prior to us helping cure it. Dunya and Collei might be fine now, but many lives were lost before that. Was surprisingly touched by this quest!

i think he probably died after Rukhadevatta remove Eleazar, because like Garvipidam said even after Eleazar was cured the side effect still remains, its like Eleazer rot your body overtime makess your organ fail, even when Eleazar is gone the side effect kill those who already rot

Sumeru stories really doubled down on the depiction of friendship. Almost every story left a good impact, from Tighnari to Cyno's friendship to Kaveh and Alhaitham's complicated one to the TCG duo

Great to see the new "tears emote" in NPCs and the animation improvement during this event.

After seeing this cutscene I immediately cried and thought of my friend... this is why Sumeru's quest is the best to make me cry😢

Seeing someone dying from Eleazar like this… I can only begin to imagine how Rukkhadevata and Al-Ahmar must’ve felt. He certainly blamed himself for the forbidden knowledge spreading into the world, but Rukkhadevata must have felt responsible for not being able to completely eradicate it… Knowing that her successor would’ve had to erase all her memories from Irmsul alone was already a heavy toll on her, but understanding that in many would suffer before that happened and not knowing how long after her death it would be… All the trust and hopes she put on someone that did not even exist at the time goes to show she was truly an amazing Archon, and it’s not hard to understand why everyone loved her.

The story, the animation, the voice acting, AAA IM IN LOVE WITH ALL OF THIS! Also this made me cry. What a true friendship..

Gosh this one really hit me in the feels, a game that forge friendships, forged by a great friendship. I genuinely love that.

Been 2 years my buddy gone due to COVID - 19... Stupid Covid... He was the only one willing be friend with me while i have disability on my legs. After he gone, i keep feeling lonely and feel something is missing But after watching this cutscene, i guess i need to move on... He is the one introduced Genshin to me, after he gone, until now, im still playing using his account, so now i have 2 acc to take care of But i dont feel regret on it, just wish he is okay in the other world, and i feel glad to tell him, i already get him his waifus (raiden shogun and ayaka) in his account😊

This made me cry when I was doing the event 😭✋. As someone who's going through troubles regarding friendships, this truly made me look back at the times and memories I shared with my friends 😢. How I miss them so,,,

I did not expect to get randomly hit with feels this event The message of friends is really sweet

Did I not cry enough in Sumeru? No. Both of them hit me in the feels. One with chronic illness who knows he's going to die, other seeing his dear friend dying and not able to accept that, visiting him every day. That's sad. I would never image this would be creation of Invocation TCG. Love this cutscene so much!

Why is this so true. 😭Sumeru's storyline always revolves around some kind of loss or sacrifice. Or maybe lots of onions because they do get me teared up everytime.😂

Honestly this is the first time I found the npc stunning for some reason, I know they all look the same but damn why does there's something about Garvipidam that somewhat makes him handsome for me 😭😭. I agree. In my life, I’ve met many great people, but as I’ve grown over the years, I’ve grown out of most of my old friendships. Now I have a few friends left and I don’t want to grow out of them. It’s hard for to communicate often due me having a social and mental battery these days as an autistic person. I’m still trying to keep the friendships I have now.

This scene that makes genshin world building great, Traveler involvement in the archon quest its that important like if traveler come to sumeru later or we travel fontaine first than sumeru many eleazar patient probably dead already

there could be a tear-jerking series on their friendship and i'd binge it, tissues on one hand and an ice cream tub in the other

I recently lost my friend, my family, due to an illness. This cutscene made me remember and i cried so much jeez. This cutscene was sad yet beautiful. Remember, always always always cherish the ones you love no matter what. Dont take the people you love for granted. Think about thebgood times, and hang out with your loved ones more please.

watching this when doing the event left such a hollow feeling inside me, I really wanted it to last longer! It was so fun meeting characters from before and hearing how TCG was made :( this story broke my goddamn heart

so this cutscene came out at a very hard time for me. my partner's friend, who had been suffering from ALS for years, was told recently that he only had weeks left. he was a famous Dead by Daylight streamer called Puppers, and was being made as comfortable as possible for the end of his life, being read messages from friends and fans, etc. This cutscene made me cry so hard I had to stop playing genshin for the night. what a touching, sad story that hit way too close to home. Puppers unfortunately passed away today, a few hours or so before I'm typing this. The fact that I experienced this story in Genshin so close to the end of his life is something I don't think I'll ever forget. I don't know how many Genshin players also play dbd, but if anyone who reads this could discover that he existed, and that he was a kind person who didn't deserve any of the suffering he had to go through, I think that's something.

Not really, i've been collected all cards except 2, and tech support tells me, that i should continue to proceed in this event to get it

the animation, the music, the voice acting all told fantastically sad story about friendship, grief and moving on

I was not prepared for sudden feelings in this event. This was a beautiful ending for a very mid event in general.

I love TCG when I'm playing it. The Thrill is something else. 😊

This got me good. This games creators really know how to pull at your heart strings. I've never cried so much playing anything ever. I had tears streaming at this.

And here I am thinking that TCG is just something I can play for fun, who could have thought that I would cry because of the story behind the Cards, and now Everytime I play tcg I would tear up remembering this. I mean I am not crying it's just a dirt in my eye T~T

It's a completely different story but this reminds me of Yugi's Grandpa's friend who gave him the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. (They were dueling when they got stuck in a cave iirc).

Yeah, sorry, I don't have a "true friends" from a fictional country based on a Central Asian setting, studying at -hogwarts- academy, who has a fictional disease for which there is no cure and who invents an another card game while dying. I won't be able to cry over this story, yeah you tottaly right, I cant "relate" and I don't even know how I cried over, say, The Green Mile or a hundred other movies with a good plot lol)

I also don't get all that whining about TCG. It's so hard for the players just to skip the activity they don't like? I, for example, hate Spyral Abyss. It's too repetitive and boring for me. I often skip it despite of the primogem reward. But I am not visiting every post and video about SA to complain about how boring it is. 😑 And I am not against a constructive criticism when players suggest what can be improved, I am mad at those people who just like to spread negativity.

It's too soon to wrap up mysteries like that when we still have to go through Fontain, Natlan, Sneznaya and Khaenri'ah. Having things revealed in events would just spoil the story and the mystery. Besides, we already get small chunks of stories about our sibling from the Dainsleif quests

That almost made me cry

(May contain spoilers) To the players who have completed the sumeru archon quest this hits differently specially since eleazar the disease cause by the irminsul was cleansed after ruk- who again? after nahida cured it and eliminated the disease but this hits different as this fellow has died before that happens and some may wonder what could have happened to the card game if such an ingenius mind was not taken away by such a devastating and withering disease.

Yeah yeah, touching story about how TCG was made. Still will not make me wanna play it more XD

I actually didn't have much fun in this event but last sumeru part was actually really good not to mention cyno was also there💀

And we got op card from this quest. Nice
