Story of two Brothers || who Separated at the time of partition || 75 years Separation
A story which will make you cry. The story is two years old but actually it happened seventy four years back. Two years back, I along with my friend Lovely Singh visited village Bogran in Lylpur to cover a partition story. There an eighty years old man namely Siddique met us and asked to do a favor for him. I replied, surely we will do that, please let us know. On this, he said, my son, at time of partition, my mother and six months old brother namely Habib alias Sheela were at our maternal grandparents at village Pholay Wala, India, hence they were separated from us as we migerated to Pakistan. We could not find them till today but inner self says that my brother is alive. As we assured him to trace his lost brother, the old man started weeping bitterly.
Lovely Singh embraced him and stressed that we would trace his brother. On very next day, we uploaded that video on our channel PUNJABI LEHAR. It seems that the screaming voice of the old man was noticed and next I received a call from Dr. Jagsir Singh and confirmed the presence of Habib alias Sheela in his viilage in India.
The next day we arranged a video call and put through the two long separated souls.
A picture has been shared. Time tickled and COVID 19 errupted and borders were sealed. The separated brothers were not able to meet even if met virtually. At last, it is today that their request has been approved by the Lord of the universe, and united both brothers at Kartarpur Sahib, where they embraced each other and flooded in tears. Everybody present at the sacred place of Kartarpur Sahib who even didn't know them were weeping with emotions. Punjabi Lehar is endeavoring to bridge a gap between the people of East and West Punjab, created by the partition of 1947. Most of the people have passed away with an unfulfilled ardent desire in their heart, to see their birth place and meet their childhood friends. Punjabi Lehar is attempting to fufil the desire of remaining partition era punjabis, who will be gone in the next five to seven years. We left our half family in UP India, but when we visited them, the Indian police scared us to death with their behavior. I have seen the partition of India and I remember my childhood and my school in my village. Now I am national of Norway, we neither need passport nor visa to visit Sweden, Finland, Iceland Greenland and Denmark. We can live and work in above countries without work permit. I wish that Indian and Pakistani can travel and live freely in both countries. Pakistani are more open flexible and open hearted than Indian. I didn't visit my family, friend's classmate since 1982. Many of my relatives are dead those I met in past but my heart beats for my alive relatives to embrace them. In abroad we both Indian and Pakistani live in peace and harmony, why we can't be peaceful neighbors.😰💔
