اصل بات یہ ھے کہ جب ایسے لوگ سراسر دنیا کے کیڑے ھوگئے اور اسلام کا شعار صرف پگڑی اور ڈاڑھی اور ختنہ اور زبان کے چند اقرار اور رسمی نماز و روزہ رہ گیا تو خدا تعالیٰ نے ان کے دلوں کو مسخ کردیا اور ھزارھاء تاریکی کے پردے آنکھوں کے آگے آگئے اور دل مر گئے اور کوئی زندہ نمونہ روحانی حیات کا ان کے ھاتھ میں نہ رھا۔ ناچار ان کو مکالماتِ الٰہیہ سے انکار کرنا پڑا اور یہ انکار درحقیقت اسلام سے انکار ھے لیکن چونکہ دل مرچکے ھیں اس لئے یہ لوگ محسوس نہیں کرتے کہ ھم کس حالت میں پڑے ھیں۔ ضمیمہ براھینِ احمدیہ ، تصنیف حضرت مرزا غلام احمد قادیانی علیہ السلام مسیحِ موعود و مھدیء معھود)

I am an Ahmadi muslim convert. I converted because the Ahmadiyya teaching about Islam is rational and metaphorical at the same time. If I had to believe that Jesus,as, will descend from heaven in this flesh and blood, wearing his 2000-year-old jewish gowns.... I might as well have stayed remained Christian. No offence, Christians, but to me, this sounds as irrational and illogical as believing that someone has died for another person's sins,because a "loving" god so wills. According to Ahmadiyya teaching, the second advent of Hazrat Ist,as, is metaphorical. Just as Hz Isa,as, came to revive the mosaic teaching ,that had become rigid and soulless, the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, came with this same spirit: To teach the muslim world that Islam is a wonderful, peaceful religion full of mystic spirituality where one can find inner peace and gut in contact with the Creator of heaven and earth. I think it is so weird when ex Ahmadis talk about finding their way to Islam. What else are Ahmadiyya muslims practising? They pray 5 times, they fast in Ramadan,they believe in the same holy Quran! And if they don't go on Hajj it is beacause they are not allowed to, even though the Holy Quran says,the Kaaba was created for the whole mankind and only Allah knows,who is a believer and who is a sinner and kafir. In 35 years I have never heard an Ahmadi muslim calling anybody a kafir! We are persecuted by our ohne brothers and sisters in Islam, which is a very sad thing. Anyway, Mr Shamsuddin appears to be a humble and friendly person. May Allah guide us all and give us the humbleness and tolerance that everybody has his own past, his own perspective and his own reason for believing whatever he believes. Peace be with all of you!
