Thank you Barbie for stepping up and cleaning this man's home. "Sam" needs to either be with family, in an assisted living home or have a caregiver. He should never be left home alone again.

Friendly reminder to always check on those who are elderly on a regular basis.

Hi Barbie. My mom had dementia eventually for these individuals it is no longer"safe" for them to live alone. I hope that this family has had this gentleman evaluated by a professional to determine this. Great job as always you are awesome!

My thoughts and concerns exactly. My husband had this terrible disease and could not have managed on his own. I pray he won't have to be alone any longer 🙏 😔

​@@waksa72it's not that simple, eventually they can be dangerous for themselves and the other persons in the building. As the illness progresses they can easily forget to turn off the stove, candles, cigarettes and so on...

All started 2 years ago. The family member lives on the other floor, and they was checking him. But he didn't let them in. One day the owner didn't answer for phone call, or knock on the door. Than the family entered to the apartment and realized what is going on. They asked my help and now we hoping help from the city. I don't charge, I help for free, but the family paid $600 :)

Sheer hard work. No gimmicks. Just doing the work no one else wants. We'll done barbie.

This poor man needs to be taken care of. He is not capable of living on his own.

I bet it smells so much better. It will make it much easier for his family now that they know he needs help. You are so brave and hardworking Barbie! Amazing job.

Barbie, you did such a wonderful job cleaning and you are so kind. Be careful with rugs, they are a trip hazard for the elderly. Physical therapists and social workers usually advise that rugs be removed for safety.

Poor man. He needs to be in assisted living but I know its so expensive.

I still cannot understand how some people use simple brush for bed or sofa cleaning instead vacuum cleaner.

You did do such a great job but to help Sam the family has to back up his personal belongings. Get all the furniture to the dump. Pest control in. Then paint and floor renovation.

We Seniors need to have a “kitchen size trash can “ in living room and our bedrooms. That way we can throw away all food containers. I have one in my bedroom and it really helps.

It's not the fact that you clean for people for FREE... it's the fact that you do it with so much love, care and compassion for the person, people or the family. The "Before" and "After" pictures speak for themselves... amazing! As far as the cockroaches go, you are correct. You cannot get rid of them by cleaning the place. But, if you have food rotting in the house you will get them. You can try to keep food in containers, do the dishes and throw out the trash. Once again, a HUGE Thank You for what you do and I'm pretty sure that you're not going to read this but, I feel that it needs to be said! 👍

I watch alot of these cleaning videos and I often think if people would just throw their garbage out every week it would make a huge difference...so much is from food waste and empty bottles.

If this poor man is this stricken with dementia he shouldn't be living alone. I just lost my mom, she had dementia and lived with my brother when not in a rehab facility (where they send older folks after being in hospital, she was not an addict, it was not that sort of rehab).

You made a miraculous difference in this home!! Most people would have just thrown everything away instead of doing the work….You did amazing ❤😊

Yes, normally it would've been a nice touch to cover the dirty floor, but older people breaking their hips is very dangerous. Otherwise excellent job, Barbie. Glad the family is involved and washing his clothes.

super nice job, i bought a wall mop and did my walls with a little dish detergent and it was super fast. its just a kind of modified mop but you can do a room in no time
