As a 27 year old black man from New York, this slaps harder than my mom that one time I bleached her favorite clothes as a kid. I used to have a bias towards UK rappers but after the past couple of actually exploring certain artists. It’s a lot of talent out there, fresh sounds, and powerful messages like this one. Young, gifted and black. This week alone two of my young black family members were stopped for parking outside their homes in nice cars and the usual hateful assumptions made. These black young boys - hard working jobs in the City were tired of it! I have sent this onto them as it is so inspirational thank you for giving young black people hope for a better day - keep going it’s so needed in these times 🙏🏾

It’s about black people not about everyone else. 😐 We’ve always been excluded. You lot always want to be included when we do something positive but when we say black lives matter it’s all lives matter. Let us just have something for us Yh? Without the, “I’m white and I xyz...” we get it 🙄 This song helps black people because we need it.
