Storm Lightning Vs Motiv Hyper Venom | How Do they Stack Up? | The Hype

Спорт

The ball reaction is very clear. The High RG is translating to more movement downlane where as the LOW RG is making the Venom see the lane earlier and giving me a smoother shape. Depending on what you are looking for the each ball can fit the gap.

    You match up so well to the Lightning Blackout, it's crazy. Hopefully this also kills the "it's just an expensive Hustle" comments, it's clearly not that 😂

    I’ve never spoken those words myself, but those comments you spoke of aren’t wrong. Not trying to be rude, but it is a hustle, (in the same way that any/every company out there trying to turn profit is however) So I’m not shaming bowling companies for doing the same, it’s just truth/is how it is, no denying that.

    The craziest part about the REX pearl cover for me, is how consistent it reads the end of the pattern. Haven't had the pleasure of drilling the road yet since my proshop closed like 2 days b4 release for vacation. He comes back today tho, so we will see. I can't wait to get a solid version of REX!

    The first shot with the Lightning Blackout looked like Superman kicked it towards the pocket when it reached the backend. _Dayum._ The Hyper Venom appears to have more of a "hook-stop" motion (I’ve watched enough of JR Raymond’s videos to see what he’s talking about). For a light oil house shot pattern, I’d start with the Hyper Venom as my control piece, and once the lanes start to dry up, I would then use the Lightning Blackout.

  • @bowlersvault
    @bowlersvault13 күн бұрын

    Good comparison. I think on many conditions, blackout is going to be the more responsive piece. Not saying that is better, just depends on what the lanes are giving you. The help of the AI tech is crazy too.

    Nice one Charles. I think this Lightning Blackout has its place in the bag. The Venom balls are good for the situations they are meant for. I picked up a Black Venom a few weeks ago and as much as I want to throw it in leagues and tournaments, the situation has not yet presented itself.

    I throw Motiv, but mainly because I throw 13 pounds and Motiv is the only brand that I know of that doesn't put a generic core in their 12 and 13 pound balls. On top of that, their balls are really good. Very hard to get here in the Netherlands though. I have to buy them in Germany.

    @@cheeksmcgee5250 Never said it WAS a hustle. That was my observation. ReX coverstock is great but the core itself is on the lower end. Feel free to justify the price tag for Storm when the only reason it’s priced like that is because they’re marketing it as a signature/throwback name.

    @Kiyted I don't have to justify a damn thing. The problem I will always have is someone not liking the price.....then shit don't buy it. Nothing is ever going to be at "your price" because people like you want bowling balls to be cheap and are just cheap themselves. You want me to justify Motiv balls too??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not going to do that shit either. The price is the price, you don't like it keep it moving!!!

    @@cheeksmcgee5250 My guy, you're the one who commented, all I did was post a comment with my thoughts. You didn't have to say anything. I don't expect it to be "at my price". For the price people would be paying, I'd expect more ball compared to other Storm products when looking at the core and coverstock is all I'm saying. Consumers are allowed to not agree with a price point. You keep doing you and calling everyone cheap/broke because they don't agree.

    i dont know what my driller did to my hyper, but its anything but smooth. 803 first month with her, and not looking back, best ball ive thrown in a decade. for a dry house. i took to more muddy conditions and i couldn't get it to read as well. it needs to see friction.

    If you go watch my initial video of the hyper venom it looks pretty quick. But you have to keep in mind I’m comparing to a ball that is quicker and in relation to ball that is quicker it gives you a visual representation that makes the hyper look smoother than it is. If I was on dryer conditions it may have looked a little different as well.

I hate when you tubers purposely throw shit shots on certain balls to make other manufacturers balls look good. You leaked the hyper venom to the right so bad and then come back with the lighting with an aced shot. Get the hell out of here.

    If you watch all of content I do every ball the same. I was use to throwing the lightening and when I went to the venom. I couldn’t throw it the same zone because the shape is different. Not intentionally trying to miss no, but it was exaggerated because of how far left the lightening was forcing me.
