Actually, the other characters were visionaries who were revolutioning the fashion industry: while the dwarf was wearing medieval clothes just like every normal person at the Middle Ages, those other two heroes walked around wearing swimsuits that would not be available until the 20th century. The woman wore a bikini that absorbed moisture, was snug-fitting, provided great suport for her boobs, and stayed on even during all those fights and jumps, and the big man wore a pair of swimming briefs that gave great support for his balls and his dick, absorbed moisture, was snug-fitting and stayed on even during his jumps and fights. Those two brought spandex to the Middle Ages, while the dwarf was just stuck with plain old cotton and leather.

I remember usually playing as Ax Battler but I get to play using Tyris sometimes because of that big dragon when her magic is full. My brother would use Gilius because his favorite color is green. But I do find Gilius easier to play with because he fills up his magic faster and his basic attacks are horizontal enough that they can hit enemies from multiple angles (and I'm not sure but his range seems a little bit better among all melee weapons). I always remember that because I get pissed at the sword wielding heroes not being able to hit the enemies. The hell.

9:30 I agree, that's the one thing keeping me from being excited for the Morrigan figure prototype that Storm showed in that one convention. Just about everyone in Darkstalkers is super ripped and they don't all look masculine; I really think they could have given Morrigan the detailed muscles she has in those games and have still kept her hot.

I will also point out what you said regarding the outfits on characters and how some women, or even men I guess, will complain about them being overly sexualized but when you see a male character wearing just as less!? They don't complain and even act as if it's normal!? Double standards! Anyways, nice one! ✌🏼

It's not as relevant with this franchise - one of the rare one where the male show just as much skin. It used to be more widespread that the women were only designed to be jerkoff material, meanwhile the men are more often dressed in full clothing lol .... I used to keep wondering why thats the case as a kid, it was actually distracting for me especially when I read comics. Like I keep questioning in the back of my head why these women are willing to wear something like this in combat like what's the point haha

Back then, the devs were a bunch of horn dogs! Haha, Even today though, it's still an issue but you don't hear us fellas complaining about dudes running around half naked! Haha, Zangief in SF has been rocking underwear and boots for the longest! There are even some who run around top less, showing off their muscles and stuff but again, we don't complain. However, I do not support something that's very highly sexualized though, unless they're marketing it that way, Dead or Alive games anyone? Lol, one of my fav gaming heroines is Quiet from MGSV cause she was running around like that on purpose. Without spoilers, she actually had a reason to why she wore less clothes. Why I love Kojima for how creative the legend is!

The actress complained finally that Quiet was not dressed appropriately but there was a reason why she was dressed that way. Still have mt eyes on the figure because of boobage... Hopefully getting it this month before this guy sells it on the market place.

In a recent interview with Jazwares employees, they said they are actively working on fixing the knees in the Spartan collection, but it takes 1+ years to make changes like that to the mould and is expensive. But they are working on it thankfully

Hilarious choice of thumbnail… 🤣Answer of the day: in the arcade game I played as Red Sonja… I mean Tyris. And yes, it *was* because of her magic ability. I mean, a dragon flies in and roasts enemies and bosses? Try topping that! 😁 As for the figure, well. The joints are ugly but it’s unavoidable unless you go the Phicen way, which itself isn’t ideal. It’s really great that these figures come with mounts, too.

Nice Tyris Flare Is Awesome

That guy look a little light in those tiny shorts. Great abs detail on Tyris. I played the guy cause I didn't know there was any difference.

My favorite was always the dwarf as I’ve always liked dwarves. I just hated how the other two got really cool dragons to ride but the little fella got half a chicken.

I'm a big old school Sega fan so getting this figure was a no-brainer, I like it but it's definitely got some flaws. The design of the torso is definitely a pain as you point out, but if you can get it in position well enough the sculpt really does look great. My biggest gripe with the aesthetics has to be the colour of her hair, though - the reddish blonde they went for isn't light enough to match the artwork, nor dark enough to match the in-game graphics, so ends up a kind of awkward in-between. But the character was never really depicted consistently in the first place (and it doesn't look bad), so it's easy enough to overlook. I'm super excited to get Heninger and Longmoan, I hope this line keeps going long enough to give us Zuburoka and Lt. Bitter (for the full GA1 cast) and dig even deeper into the sequels!

FYI there’s no extra joint in the lower neck like on the other Golden Axe figures. The ball, peg and under torso are all one solid piece of plastic. I physically took off the arms and rubber torso piece to verify. Not sure why they made her different from the others, kind of a bummer as she loses all neck articulation.

Tyris was my favorite because she had the most magic I wish they added the magic potions they use when they use their spells. Maybe some magic effects...

I was a fan of the dwarf. I liked his spells, plus his longer life bar. I could put up with the slower attacks. I cannot believe you got away with the awesome thumbnail image, but glad you went for it. It's hilarious.

This is a figure I really want to like, but the articulation for the torso (upper and lower) looks so limited; I wish they’d found a way to have a little more articulation there for some more dynamic posing. Still looks like a very strong release, it is Storm after all, but the lack of torso articulation’s a bit too much of an issue for me

man since they went through the trouble of doing classic GA characters for this line i wish they would have done classic Streets of Rage 1 characters instead of starting at 4. the license can't be that hard to get

At least if people gonna complain about the armor at least they need to try to be consistent. A remember using the Dwarf because found the most weird character.

Like you, I would prefer the torso cut to be lower. I understand why they did it that way, but I think it was the wrong choice. She will probably look better in static poses, but in terms of versatility and fun, it's a bad choice.

Tyris, hands down.

You mention the figure’s orange hair matching the sprites more, but dont you think her hair looks light brown in the sprites? Or is this a blue/gold dress situation, and I’m not seeing the colour of the sprites right? 😅 (Also, I played Tyris and Gilius; never axe battler :P )

I was always a Gilius main. Green's my favorite color and his dash attack is great. AND WAIT... is it just me or does his neck look SUPER short? They didn't give her enough neck or the peg is seated too low or something. Ax doesn't have a lot of neck either, but he's a huge muscular dude and she's way slimmer. Looks weird.

I always played Tyris Flare and this was my first figure frlm this line up. I got it around the same time when this video was uploaded last year and today I got Ax Battler and Gillius Thunderhead as well and those arrived today. I loved playing as her because of the agility and my brother would play Ax Battler always. I also played Thunderhead because he was green. But my playstyle suited Tyris Flare more. I never remembered the names though. Regarding the hips I would say that no Manufacturer has done hips artoculation better then Figuarts on suicide Squad Harley Quinn. Her hips and things are one piece that move in and out of her pelvis and hence they actually look bigger when she is bending and small when standing upright. For the boobs the Figma Kasumi is the best. Her breasts are sort of articulated (insert boob physics). But yeah Executive replicas and storm Collectible should consider doing that. It looks and feels great.
