She joined us for training because she was very anxious and “afraid of everything” especially new sights, sounds, or people. A few weeks later and she’s now conquering her fears and having fun along the way! We are very consistent with our structure and leadership, after teaching her a solid foundation of expectations, so the predictability can bring confidence. All of the daily practice and desensitization work has prepared her for real-world events. We hold her accountable for her choices while also advocating/protecting her personal space. It’s been such a pleasure watching her come out of her shell and show off her sweet side for the world to see! She received so many compliments during this final outing and was even mistaken as a service dog because she was so well-behaved.
