Not too many sounds of nature more soothing than doa's voice

I had to memorize this poem in 3rd grade back in 1971. I still have it memorized to this day.

I memorised this poem back in my school days and still recite it to myself when i'm trudging through deep snow trying to find a nice camping spot for the evening. Beautifully done!

On Christmas morning I saw a bald eagle flying low over the Desert Cliffs near where I live. That is a very uncommon sight here so much so that that is the first time I've seen it. Perhaps I should compose a poem about that

My ex-best-friend gave me a book of this poem, sensing something deep in my mind and heart. When I first read it, I realized it was an observation by the poet of considering suicide. My friend was right, and that was a terrible time in my life, now passed. Are you alright?

Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound’s the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake.
