A terrible timeline, averted. Mario wakes up in his bed, after seeing his brother die in lava. "W-where... how...? I'm at home..." He sees a note on luigi's bed. It reads, "Dear Brother," "Is something wrong...? Every time we go on an adventure together, you always leave me behind. Is it something I'm-a doing, brother? Is there something that you're not telling me? Please, just talk to me. Whatever the problem is, I can help, Mario! Luigi may only be number two, but that doesn't mean Luigi don't care about Mario. I'll be outside, ok Mario? Let's-a talk when you're ready." "Your brother, Luigi." Mario is glad to hear his brother is still alive. He runs outside to meet with his bro, to see a worried Luigi. "Mario...? Did you see my note?" "Yeah, I saw it, Luigi." Luigi sees something in Mario's eyes... "Bro? You ok? You look-a like you've seen a ghost..." Mario's face is shrouded by his hat. "I have, Luigi... I have..." Mario explains what just happened to him. "Mario, why do you keep leaving me behind?" Mario just stands there, unresponsive... then, he speaks up. "...Because you're my brother..." Luigi realizes that Mario just doesn't want anything bad to happen to him, and so he smiles. "You will always be my brother." Mario looks up and smiles back, tears falling from his eyes. "It was-a so realistic, Luigi... like it actually happened..." "I know, Mario. I've-a had those dreams before..."

The good ending: someone restarted the whole thing Luigi remember what happened but the hole thing is a loop trap so Luigi told Mario what happened and he was sorry so both Mario and Luigi save the princess together as brothers

This can take place when Luigi died in lava but he respawned and apologized to Mario for his actions, because they're inside a video game Mario and Luigi can respawn, in the original rom hack you can see dead bodies of mario who died before, so will make sense if Luigi respawns because he's a playable character, (unless he's out of extra lives)

After the fight, Luigi knelt down, defeated & Mario had no other choice but to hit him off the platform with his cape & cries when watching Luigi burn in pain down in the fire pit. "Oh Thank Goodness" Ending: All of that happening was all just a reality. Mario had a horrible dream of it & soon woke up, scared. He looked around for Luigi but found a little note given to him on Luigi's bed. After Mario read it, he went outside & saw Luigi waiting for him. Mario explained what had happened in the dream and Luigi says he saw the same thing as well. The two brothers finally agreed to stick together from now on & to never let bad things happen again.

This is the good ending where Luigi vents about how he always thought he was Mario’s shadow. Mario sympathizes with Luigi, reassuring him he’ll always be his number one brother. He even will let Luigi lead and save Princess Daisy, or maybe Princess Peach. Good ending.
