I was translating in english for all english i watch on youtube That's makes me frustated because i must stop the vidios and find the meaning in my language ( indonesian) But...since i know that it makes me frustated so i learn to stop that habbit. I just focus on what i see and listen. Yes...i still strugle with english but not frustated anymore because focus makes me know the point, makes me understood of what they talk about Yes that is my method ❤listening care fully ❤focus ❤shadowing the new word Thank you so much 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️❤❤❤❤

I've been doing this since like 2018 and you're totally right, it made me like ten times better and more efficient at speaking English. It's almost like it switched, now I can't stop thinking in English and thinking in my native language just feels weird, but it's sooooo worth it. I still can't speak fluently though because I just can't seem to master the American R pronunciation, no matter how many tutorials I watch. I think I nailed it for words that start with the r but anything else just... no. But besides that yeah, thinking in English definitely makes you better at English

Glad to hear thinking in English has brought you such good results. Regarding the R Sound, I’m not sure if this will help: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f6BluLajfLGXfcY.htmlsi=DLSJPo98vOlBReDX

Funny. I was thinking about how my thinking method could change if I've lived some time in foreign country. It's scary that thinking in your native language make you feel weird now. Because I feel that I'm kind of a master in thinking in my native language and because of that I can solve problems effectively. Don't want to miss that opportunity.

Don't translate from your language. Figure it out completely in English. You can (and should) learn new words based on their context, their usage, and definitions given in English. That's how people learn their first language. Why can't the same be done for the second, third, and fourth?
