I have missed this format! it's nostalgic for me, and low key comforts me. The tweetables? I don't use Twitter, but I love the line. The outfits in the opening? I love this era. Now I sound like a kid talking about their favorite group they stan 😂

I have been using this technique for years and it definitely works. I've struggled with anxiety for most of my life and this is one of the ways I manage it. I believe in God and so my list is usually called "Things that are stressing me out / Things I am giving to God." I write down everything whether it's money or I'm just feeling bad about my hair. Once it's on the paper, I don't look at my list anymore. I just let it go and feel 100 times better! Writing is therapy! Do it!

stress-ercism... yea, i'm totally using that one! whoa, i needed this one - thanks! i loves me some marie tv tuesdays. stresser: trying to manage wearing all my hats (work from home, 6 yr old's mom, active school parent, scout assistant - with a disbility :-)) - keep a very detailed calendar. add meetings appointments etc. IMMEDIATELY! - keep pertinent info accesible in my phone - so that if i'm not home, i can still have access to what i need - learn to say no sometimes.

That josh is SO smart. I've done something similar to this for a few years. I call it a "brain dump" - and I do it in the morning as part of my sacred practice. I don' just dump out the stressors, though. I also pour out all the to-do's, gratitudes, etc. Getting it all out of my head is such a helpful practice - keeps me clear and able to focus on the must do's of the day. Right now, I'm planning a move (we just bought a house), and there are always more details that keep cropping up. One of the things I've chosen to do to mitigate the stress, is to receive each new detail as a "pleasant surprise" and act like each one is a shiy new gift, wrapped up with a big bow for me to unwrap when the time is right. That keeps me from freaking out about every new detail, and allows me to address each on in its own time.

Sometimes a stressful situation I come across gets compounded by the worrying I do before I take actions to solving it. I started giving my worry an appointment. "I will worry about such and such at this time later." This frees up my mind so I can keep my focus and if the appointment keeps (sometimes it cancels 😀) then the appointment is given a 5 minute limit.

I have a "brain dump" journal too! Sometimes you become tense and feeling stressed out because you have all these thoughts in your head...like a big giant balloon that's ready to pop. It helps me to write them all down... to vent all my negative thoughts. All languages allowed. About halfway down the page, I usually start to feel much better. By the end of my brain dump , I give out a big sigh and feel the heavy load is off my shoulders. My head feels clearer and I am able to focus better on what's important.

While I don't have a stress log - I tend to make a note on scratch paper with any problems, set it to the side and let it rest. Seems then I stop focusing on it and solutions start popping in my head...then I just scratch those on the scratch paper to analyze later. Sheryl

I have been doing this for many years and it has been the end-all-be-all of getting through things. It does help to identify the stress or multi-stress items. It does give them a place in the bigger world and you can see that it is an item ... not an entire world! Once I vent my stress, I can pause, vent a few more times until I am ready, and then take action ... like making a plan or tiny steps to move toward. Sometimes just coming up with a mantra or a ritual to use when the stress occurs. Thanks Marie. It does really work! 😍

I work with one of the worst employees I've ever had to deal with. She's negatively affecting my work as well as making it impossible for me to be a team player. Not only does she stress me out, but my negative attitude all day long scares the crap out of me. I need to work as hard as I can. They won't fire her even when she's a no call, no show; but id I keep working as hard as I can, someone will notice and get me out of there! Bigger and better things await! I need to stop and smell the roses. Find things that boost my mood and change my attitude. I'm letting her ruin my whole day as opposed to just screwing up part of it. Even if she's not willing, I need to maintain my sportsmanship towards this team I am forced to play with. Teams help each other out. I need to keep showing up for all the great employees.

As per usual this is great !!! Stressor: having to make a career change due to health immediately and at what feels to be late in life and having no plan. 1 write a list of careers that fulfill my needs and skills and find people who love their jobs in those fields to interview. 2 research, research, research!! 3. Stop limiting myself through proclamation of having a definite plan due to fear of not having a plan 🤣😅 and follow steps 1 and 2. AND read my everything is figuroutable notes and highlights to remind myself that I've got this.

definitely going to try the stress log out! Something that is stressing me out big time is the chronic fatigue that comes with my fibromyalgia and with it, the lack of desire, energy, or motivation to do things. Possible Solutions: 1. Get help creating a schedule that gets all the things I'd like to get done done while working with my ADHD brain to take it starting slow and build up to the full thing. 2. Figure out rewards or reasons that will push me to get things done. (not money based, not really sure what these might be) 3. Get up at the same time every day, go to bed at the same time every night, have a good prep for bed routine and stick with it. do all the tricks "normal" people are encouraged to do to get better sleep. If that still isn't working, bring evidence (track things!) and data to doctor and/or psychiatrist to try to get best help possible

Pharmacy school stressed me out. If I 1) stop procrastinating 2) make a better effort to plan out a schedule for the work I need to do and 3) "don't sweat the small stuff" or worry about the things I can't change I can probably eliminate stress from this area of my life. Thanks again Marie!

I'm stressed about taking with people, I mean I'm afraid I'm gonna make fool out of myself that I'll say or do sth stupid. So when I'm in situation when I have to for example set a conversation in class among students, I'm so stressed I trying to make myself so small to avoid saying anything and when I finally HAVE to say sth (even about the thing I'm keen on) I'm ending really making fool out of myself - because of stress I'm not thinking right... However I know that EVERYBODY make mistakes, it's natural and normal, but on the other hand I'm not allowing myself to make some, this isn't really smart right? Wow, this video made me think about this problem :) thanks!

+yareli iglecias If that's the case, you can give yourself a time to schedule in your stresses. For instance, put a 20 minute timer on your phone and then force yourself to right out all your stresses for 20 minutes straight. A lot of people find that they are sick of stressing and would rather do something else after they are done.
