Stop/start Battery Change(Auxiliary Battery) Dodge Durango Simple Fix !!!
My Stop / Start system stopped working .
Also your remote start will stop working as well .
And most of the time it’ll cause drainage to the regular battery , which cause u to call for jumps or having to jump start your vehicle
The name for the stop/start battery is called “Auxiliary battery”
Also cheap as well (so don’t panic)
I’m sure this fix will be simple for all cars depending on where the battery is or if your car has one .
So before you go to a shop or dealer

The vent shold be put in the hole of the battery there’s hole in the side of the battery
thanks for posting this. does the ignition use the start stop battery for regular push button starts too? or does it use the big battery?

Yea it does (push start battery) .. my push start button for sure stopped working when the start stop battery went bad or dead . Then that started to cause problems in my big battery where the whole car would sometimes need a jump start .. or I would have to press the gas at the same time to get it started

Thanks for the information so… I did this and changed my aux battery and changed the fuse block in the front of the vehicle. Once again it is now blown for the second time. This problem is happening again did I miss something?
My light came on an Durango cut off will this be my same issue as well?
I thought the Aux battery was underneath the hood and the main battery is underneath the passenger front seat.
Where is this batter located? I have that same light on my dashboard 2018 Durango

Mine just went out today. 4-16-24, I have a 2017 GT I bought with 8,000 miles on it. I currently have 126,000. It was six years old to me this past march.

Wow bummer hopefully that’s all to fix or replace. I had a bad coil that went out I’ve replaced all coils and plugs at 62,000 miles. Code P0301 misfire in number 1 cylinder. Seem to fix the problem. I’ll keep you posted. Good luck with that aux battery.

I’m going to buy an new aux battery to try fix the the same problem you had with that auto start stop dash light coming. Engine has power just light comes under acceleration sometime I pull over cut engine off and back on and light goes off and will come on until it wants at any time but not at all times. Hope this fixes my problem but I will keep y’all posted on what happens after I change the battery. Wish me luck.
