Absolutely right , if we as foreigners wanted to progress we must learn and use different words with same meaning ( specially extreme adjectives ) . I love your charming British accent it's wonderful tbh .

i'm yankee but i've been to england, scotland, ulster and ireland republic and until i went the first time back in the 90's i had never heard anybody use the term "nice" as regards food. my friends also said that though they had heard it in movies and tv they would never use the term "good" in describing food. i have noticed, though, that since youtube came along alot of people from the british isles especially in the food trying vids have started using the term "good" for that purpose and some american (foodies mostly) have started to use the term "nice" for the same purpose so perhaps one day both terms will be interchangeable in both countries.

How called original song?

If anybody said they had had a ‘joyous day’ people would think that they were being sarcastic or had a peculiar way of speaking. I think it’s important to teach people phrases that native speakers would actually use in conversation. The same can be said for a lot of these adjectives. People would sound like they’ve learnt from an out-dated text book! Not at all how natives speak.

My husband uses the word nice and I always object! It's very blah. Unfortunately he also teaches English.
