"Doc, what BLOOD KETONE METER do you recommend?"
ANSWER: FORACARE: on.bozmd.com/fo... (Promo-code: Dr.Boz)
It's accurate and takes only ONE test-strip to get results. YES!!
"Doc, what can I have while fasting?"
Salt + water are best.
Salt: bit.ly/3bkpZMl (Promo code: DrBoz) Sounds weird but it's strangely satisfying.
Black coffee - I prefer cold brew coffee.

Welcome to Florida. I been watching you for over a year. Have been keto for 2 1/2 years. One of the best things I have ever done. My husband was a diabetic. He is keto now and not diabetic anymore. We own the Vance Theater in Chipley, Fl. I would donate our Venue to you and Dr Ken Barry anytime you like to do a program. We are 45 miles North of Panama City. Florida.

Good to watch this. For those not sure about keto, 4 years ago I lost 75kg/150+ lb on Keto/IF/primal health. In the last year I managed to get very health and fit by learning to enjoy excersise. Then the UK govenment locked eveyone in their homes, shut the gyms and my employer insisted that I work from home in an apartment the isnt suitable for it, so Ive put 15k/30lb back on because of depression related comfort eating cycling with short burst of dieting. I'm now seriously back on the wagon by introducing the behaviours that made the sucess 3 years ago, and videos like this help a great deal.

Still learning to eat keto. Took the next step with the fridge. Learning to be wise in keto grocery shopping--substituting Romaine for tortillas and pork rinds and bell peppers for "chips"... Climbing that learning curve on eating out and getting used to unsweetened beverages (that is still the hard part). I'm grateful for the sacrifices you've made, taking the less traveled road, following your conscience (rather than the flawed, gov't approved "science") and truly doing something to vastly improve the health of whoever is willing to discipline themselves to the advice.

Just discovered this channel. New subscriber! My body and health have been in swift decline ever since I was hit with an autoimmune disease, psoriatic arthritis (PsA), later in life. I'm now 66 and was advised to try low-carb/GF by my rheumatologist, plus I am now on Humira and several other Rxs and supplements, including a probiotic. In addition to PsA, I have hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, IBS, mild fatty liver, benign tremor, nerve pain, osteoporosis, and depression/anxiety. I also have sleep apnea and have the Inspire implant for that. Just had a second steroid injection in my spine for symptoms caused by 2 herniated discs caused by DDD, complicated by scoliosis with rotation. I'm 35 pounds overweight, mostly in my abdomen, and lost 10 pounds ketogenicallyy but fell off the wagon. I'm diving into Dr. Boz's extensive library of videos and also starting back on keto today! I feel like I just went to confession! ⛪ 🙏

Started back up after our move from Nebraska to Tampa area. I am in week one of the reboot. Down 14.8 pounds! Having read your books and using the workbook and getting involved in the process. Because of what I learned from you I am already at 2 meals per day on at least 16 - 18 hours per day and working out everyday. I know it is a crazy start but I am not at my first rodeo. I am not stopping now until I attain my goals.

I've been planning how many little almond crackers tally up to 10 carbs and using half a low carb wrap for the other 10 until I just heard you say.... if the 20 daily carbs are all processed carbs I am likely to have a set back, especially if I am insulin resistant. As I plan my reboot I now realize I must not allow all 20 carbs to be trashy carbs! Thank you once again for the real talk!

This can be very hard as everyone wants me improve now. I can see and feel the difference but just relaxing into things is hard. Maybe I can watch this whole series of 4 😊 So eat a stick of butter. OK. Not sure how long I should do this for. I can work it out. Peetone Strips. Check, make sure they are still good. Hoping I can get some sleep doing this. Wonder if that is why I can’t sleep, an unintended consequence of the lower fat. Not enough meals to get it in. Copy that page or pages from my keto continuum. Got it.

The Metabolic dysfunction is very hard to correct. Keto is a lifestyle, not a diet. The big issue is how long it takes to correct the biological systems that have been shut down or disregulated. The wasting of nutrients by the body and or the inability of the body ti use them as biologically intended is a real problem. I speak from opinion and personal experience. I am no expert nor claim to be. I know the standard medical processes did not address the issues. In my circumstance, they exacerbated the problem. Seek knowledge, Question everything, and follow the money. When you depend on others knowledge, you are subject to their bias, influence and machinations. This is your responsability. Keto and Nutritional focus is imperative to healing, IMHO.. Gut microbiome has to be tended as well. This person seems to be giving a plan to follow. A hard thing to build on your own when your brain doesn't work. I am glad I found this Doc.

Very very interesting!! I didn't know that squeezing your blood out can cause a false reading! I sometimes get a wonky reading and wonder , what did I do? I squeeze the tip of my finger regularly. I was successful with keto for 2 years prior to covid. In 2020 I fell off keto bad and spent all of 2021 chasing that keto wagon I fell off of. I found that I have to be much more restrictive as my insulin is more resistant. And battling cortisol because my fasting glucose is often Higher than when I go to bed!! I'm really struggling. I plan to get some exogenous ketones and I was wondering what else can I do? Last a1c was 5.6.

How do I get the rest of my family to support me in my keto diet? They often say to me eat less which is what I’m doing . Yet somehow feel separated from my new choices . I have cooked for my family for years. I’m now making my food separately. And they eat it at will not understanding this is for my health ?

I lost 20lbs on keto but then went on vacation and came off. My husband eats ice cream and cake all the time. I have encouraged him to try keto since he has had cancer 3x but he refuses. I can’t get rid of food since he eats his foods. I try to explain keto to him but he forgets and buys food he “thinks” I can eat then I feel guilty and eat it. I want to lose another 20lbs but mostly I have fibromyalgia and want to feel better. I’m tired often and have chronic pain. I thought I could eat almond tortillas or biscuits made from almond flour or coconut flour but you are saying no?

i've been on keto (keeping 20 or under carbs) for almost 7 wk and there are some changes, but i'm still having pain, i'm still short of breath, i have low stamina, and my BP has risen considerably. i'm mostly one meal/day and have started the intermittent fasting, but now have some skin issues, along with breathing and hormonal or heart issues. this is scary to me, but am trying to push through. my fingernails are now ridged, which indicates low protein. so if i die, i definitely want the pathologist to look to see if keto contributed, as i have no medical history or issues, prior to keto. cronometer is not that great for vegetarians - about 1/3 of what i eat is not on there - i have to make up my own recipes and add foods, which causes my numbers to be inaccurate :( i can't follow your schedule, as i've been one meal a day for many years, but snacked throughout. so now i eat one meal, and occassionally need to snack in the afternoon. i still seriously do not know how i can get any nutrition as i'm only eating eggs and cheese (which is NOT something i ate a lot of prior - as a vegetarian trying to be vegan) i have constant low grade headache (daily!!) and believe it's because i'm not getting nutrition. what's with the butter ???? is it the fat that helps suppress appetite? because i refuse to eat a stick of butter. disgusting. i will drink heavy cream to get that full feeling. i skipped the MCT oil for a week, but i think i will go back to drinking that throughout the day. when does the brain start working, if you've been on for 7yr ??
