    @@HaloHighlightzi’ve seen a few videos where people take acetone and use a brush to gently wipe around the edge of the nail (close to the cuticle) after flash curing it on and it helps to make the edge more natural looking. hope that helps!

    Also I learned doing my own nails if u don't have base, top, or glue hold the tip in acetone for about 5 seconds and it stick really well to ur nails. No popping off

    I prep the inside of the tip with nail primer, and it works soooo well, my gel x nails last for over 3 weeks

    Me 2 I thought I'd see more people mention just how good primer works I was using an acid printer 2 start with but used my acrylic primer 2 works just as well I cart tell the difference except that the non acid primer isn't as cloudy as the acid 1

    @@caro3392 Prep is very important. You have to push back your cuticles and remove dead skin. Then buff your nails with a sanding bit if you’re using an e-file or a regular file like 180 grit. Then use a nail dehydrator and a nail primer just a bit before applying your gel tips. For polishing, put a layer of base coat fully cured over your nails then apply the gel polish. 😊

    @BarbieBabeEve Supposed to use both. first dehydrator, then primer. Dehydrator removes oils from your nail beds, allowing product to adhere better and last longer

    You can do this but results may very. My soft gel tips tips are too thin at the cuticle (they thin it out near the cuticle so you dont have to do as much filing) and they end up being too bendy to work with or they split. Maybe I'm using too much acetone but for me it just ends up eating away at the tip.

    According to the manufacturer, doing this is not a good idea because it melts the tip and weakens it and could also encourage lifting.

    Make sure you're doing proper nail prep, pushing back cuticles riding the nail bed of dead cuticle overgrowth, buffing the nail surface to remove the shine and ridding the nail beds of oils and dust. Then you can address the tip prep. Most nails pop off because of lack of nail prep.

    @@osopetty1761 ok, I'm major noob 😇 I just said what others say they use as I have no experience in this - yet!🤭 Lol. haven't heard anyone else say they used primer tho. I just bought a builder/hard gel kit, just uploaded a short of the kit to my channel 🤗 & I don't have primer _or_ dehydrator! 😅 just 100% acetone. Not doing that stuff yet anyway. Plan to try getting tips or smth later. Still happy to learn as much as I can about gel nails stuff! 😁 🌷

    When preping press ons I still feel sanding the inside is best. Usually when I do this with acetone, the nails still pops off.

    Another hack for this is, to me the sanding band is too wide for my smaller tips like for my pinky nails or pointer finger so I usually use a ball bit. It’s a LOT easier, esp for the smaller nails and doesn’t take as much maneuvering.

    No, if your tips are already prepped/etched that is sufficient!😊 Some people will still do this with pre etched tips but you definitely don't have to!

    Aceton is a harmful material it might be ok if you get it on your skin briefly and wash it of right after. But to let it soak into your plastik (to desolve it! )+ nail, sounds like a harmful idea.

    It doesn’t weaken it! When you sand the nail with the file your actually removing some of the nail. This just melts the tip and created a chemical etch! So you won’t actually lose much product at all! Just swirling it around really!

    No please DO NOT DO THIS!!!!! is not the best/right way I took a Professional nail gel x nail course and the way to do it is by sanding it with the drill tip from side wall to side wall!
