Awesome video, I'm glad I was able to get this pack due to missing out on the S.I.E.G.E Barricade and 2018 Punch / Counterpunch. Plus I'm glad you voiced the point of the color downgrade to P.C.P, but was really pleased to get my hands on that Barricade, just wish the kept the purple windows from the S.I.E.G.E version. Plus my head canon for Barricade is that he left his racing crew and had himself modified with a bigger body (thanks to Shockwave) and joined Cybertron security, but after being found out as a bad cop and joining the Decepticon faction, Barricade is reunited with his racing crew as his deputies / sidekicks (I managed to find the other two mini-cons, but still missing "Motorhead")

funny thing is my earthrise barricade has his left shin unpainted, when he arrived i was half way through transforming him when i realized his shin was flat out unpainted brand new and i was a little mad but now im just thinking how i can just tape it a little and paint after doing some color matching

Fun Fact: Movie Barricade was originally going to be Autobot Prowl, but Michael Bay wanted the Police, Military, Air Force, etc to only be Decepticons. So Bay changed his name to Barricade and turned him into [a Bad Cop] Decepticon. Now Hasbro gone full circle with their Siege/Earthrise Barricade!!

Gotta say, I like that decision for the first movie honestly, it gives the impression that the Autobots and Decepticons use their disguises for different reasons. Autobots tend to pick civilian vehicles to hide among the populace, while Decepticons pick military and governments vehicles in order to infiltrate these organizations and obtain valuable information.

Funny you mention it, in the fan made series transformers interstellar by Sam jay flatman, barricade joins up with the autobots to defeat galvatron and gets renamed to prowl.

The reason why the re-release Punch is light blue with a yellow stripe is because it's a reference to Nightbeat. This in of itself is a reference to Kre-O (does anyone actually remember Kre-O lol) where it sold Punch with the name Nightbeat for some bizarre reason.

That walking/table flip animation for Prowl in the opening skit was so clean!

BEST COMMERCIAL BREAK EVER!!! Because right when you said "you should probably go check on that" I realized my son and his friend were being waaaaaay too quiet to be doing anything good. So I paused and checked. They had smuggled an entire box of Oreo cookies into his room and were in the process of consuming all the evidence. So naturally I yelled at them for not letting me in on this! Great work Mr Eyebrow! Buttery smooth as usual!

I bought this because I wanted punch/counter punch because I missed the first one in potp and after market prices skyrocketed. Barricade was basically surplus to requirements but I was so impressed by Barricade. Both are just awesome!

I dunno why but I ¾ expected Wheeljack to run out and repair Puntercounch’s broken leg.

Prowl flips the table. Perfection.

One of the best intro sketches yet, surpassed only by your Omega Supreme video! And a great review of two cool figures to follow! Thank you! Regarding the inconsistent blue: It's not just this guy, it's practically ALL big blue robot characters that have this problem. Thundercracker (who is NEVER the same colour twice), Punch / Counterpunch, Tank from the GoBots / Machine Robo . . . I think the ONLY big blue robot that ever gets a consistent Pantone treatment in every iteration is the Blue Lion from Voltron. But, yeah, that's definitely Nightbeat's colours on that P/CP.

Dude. The opening was beautiful. Especially the table flip. Whatever you do for a living, see if you can make more working for Robot Chicken.

Looks like a neat set. Although Punch/Counter-Punch having some missing paint and the set being a exclusive is a bit of a bummer. Also I’m missing the translucent purple that the Siege Barricade had. Maybe that would make the grayish-lavender parts feel less weird on it. Nicely done video overall.

I personally think that Punch/Counterpunch’s Vehicle mode is inspired by the modern NSX, but I do see the GM inspiration.

I love how the first thing prowl does when he enters the room is flip the table nice comic reference

I love that you customized Bugbite into what is essentially the Toyota Sprinter from Initial D. Even down to the decals on the sides.

I saw this review at the perfect time! I just read the IDW ‘84 Secrets and Lies series that punch-counterpunch narrates since he sees both sides of the war and that was so amazing I need to get my hands on his toy one way or another

I just can't stop watching that bad cop crazy cop. It just feels right. Especially seeing Prowl blowing his top off and his signature move...table flipping! Beautiful, just simply, beauuuutiful!!!

Happy to see another video, loved the opening bit! (Especially the set design)

It's nice to see reviews by someone who actually knows cars--because I don't! I like the way you analyze the details instead of just saying "It's a good/bad-looking car mode." :-)

The transformer sized human chairs and tables was hilarious in of itself, so Prowl table flipping is just icing on the cake lmao

I love the fact you use Chrono trigger themes in your skits! It really makes them better! (not that they arent good in the first place!)

I love the stop motion reviews. Their just so much more interesting than normal reviews

Something about that barricade transformation at the end hits different.

Well that was a year and 1/4 payoff to a little joke I did back in September 2020, and man was it worth it!

I absolutely love how any feature on Barricade is just a mix of footage from all of the other Fairladies

I accidentally broke the barrel of the blaster of Barricade and for some odd reason, without the barrel it really looks like a futuristic pistol which is something I find rather cool than the ones with long barrels.

The regular release for Punch was just too expensive on the after market for me so getting Barricade and Punch together in one pack was the better deal in my opinion

*punch reveals himself* Punch: later pops! Barricade: PUNCH!! Get back here! *lupin the 3rd theme intensifies*

Siege Barricade just edges out the win from me over the Earthrise version, mostly because of the fantastic transparent purple everywhere.

ER Barry looks so damn good but he's a post-Siege carformer so all of that clear plastic is just a ticking time bomb.

My thought process: Ah barricade toy looks like prowl and he is the corrupt decepticon cop. I also remember the movie scene "are you jada jada" Then a mystery who could be worse than him. BAM! actual prowl kicks in, whamps the table idw style and quotes movie barricade. Awesome!

Woah the silent shoutout! Great video and worth the wait. The opening skit for this video is probably one of my favorites so far. Looking forward to the next video!

I really liked the spin transition between punch to counter punch

And with punch you can swap the legs on the ball joints if you want the feet for both robot modes and just use the waist as a transformation joint, it also gives counterpunch yellow underpants

15:27 i have wanted see Prowl vs Barricade for years after seeing it in Randall NG/Dr Smoov’s 3D G1 animations so thank you. Seeing the Alternator’s Acura RSX stand up to the S197 Ford Mustang was everything. Punch counterpunch is something that i always like seeing, but i always get the feeling that the designers could have done “better”

I have both Punch/Counterpunches, and I think it could work with his double agent nature in a similar way to Animated!Shockwave.

Apparently it was picked out in that color scheme because his Kre-O toy was called Nightbeat...which is odd since I don't know why his Kre-O toy was called Nightbeat in the first place. It doesn't even have the traditional Nightbeat colors. Just his. My head hurts.

That bit in the beginning was awesome ,especially the music. Love Chrono Trigger.

Fantastic review The Lazy Eyebrow!!!! :D I found out that if you hide the Decepticon logo in car mode the roof halves line up more securely and makes the roof look like it is not separated into two halves. :D Keep on being amazing.

If i had both versions of P/CP, I'd probably swap the wheels head and hands from the old one and put them on the newer one, making my own definitive P/CP. But I'm also happy owning the older one

I like barricade a whole lot but it was too hard to get him as an exclusive.

This set had one major advantage. PotP Punch-Counterpunch is way to expensive, so Hasbro rereleasing him with slight color changes means that people can get him without paying absurd amounts of money

Nah, the idea was always Prowl and Barricade as swapped roles, but the idea for prowl to yell barricade's line came later

It’s odd, that in the skit; Barricade is the ‘Good Cop’ while Prowl is the Bad Cop in this event! Such a reversal.

Actually Eyebrow when I first saw Punch/Counterpunch, he reminded me of a BMW I8(and still does). though I do see the GM stylings you pointed out

Really loved this review and was waiting for it since you've been teasing it for awhile now.

My brother got those fingers. Look amazing but Hasbro should use Bluestreak's head fit perfectly without Smokescreen's head. And I did see Emgo's reviews of Power Of The Prime of Punch/Counterpunch show how to fix his parts in his shoulder. I agree dark blue or gray in his legs, hands and shoulders. And yes I hear some people hate that roof top get broke when not carefully some of them thinks look fine and alright. So yeah. Amazing reviews you have man nice work.

Punch's car mode reminds me of the remake version of the Interceptor off of Spy Hunter, I could be seeing things but that's kind of funny.

Being Generation selects it's ment as collectors version. Barricade being a nod to Siege Barricade colours(light purple arms etc). In a G1 earthmode Datsun style.

If I wanted to get Punch I'd honestly be a bit torn. On one hand, I like the extra detail with the paint on the darker blue one. On the other, I prefer the lighter blue of the light blue one, and the yellow stripe looks nice on it. I just wish the rims were painted silver, its always annoying when they don't paint rims any colour at all.

I found it so funny when you where doing the transformation for barricade and it switch between prowl, smokescreen and slipstream. That was great 👍🏻

Ah, Prowl and his unchecked emotional outbursts. LOVE IT!

The punch/counterpunch is nice in the lighter colours but the rims would’ve been nice in red. The barricade does look nice but I do wish there was some dark purple like in the siege figure also the head I prefer the siege head over the ER version maybe the ER prowl head might look better on him.
