Thank you for saying 'correct way' for the legs. Sure, it's G1 accurate for the other way, but it looks stupid with the exposed limbs. Besides, articulation is always better.

I got the Unite Warriors version. On its own, it's immediately 5 times more G1 accurate, comes with Slingshot (they don't call him Quickslinger...) instead of Alpha Bravo, and I have to agree with you; it's amazing. I just got the PC-03 sled and head and they're AMAZING!!! The hands and feet are on the way from Bejing, so I'll be waiting for awhile before I have the complete experience. Btw, if you make sure the neck piece on the new head isn't stuck up in the chin, the head stays on very nicely. Just make sure he isn't looking downwards and you'll be fine.

The unite warriors set i much than worth it with the PC stuff, I bought it after watching your review and I have to say WOW My custom paint replaced the stickers and its amazing looking

I really like this video because 1, it's awesome seeing what you did to make them better, and 2 it's also a good guide on how to make your Superion better, and even though I don't have any Combiner Wars Aerial bots I still like coming back to see this video.

I think the hip issue is an artifact of the way Firefly's sprues were set up. Firefly probably had the thighs and hips on different sprues, which didn't matter for him because they were going to be done in the same color. But when it was redone as Quickslinger, they couldn't mold the hips in black without molding some of the bigger white parts in black, so they decided the least intrusive option would be to just cast them in white and paint them black. Still frustrating, but figured someone would appreciate the insight.

one fail on Firefly/Fireflight: the black line is cut in two on the UW version. the straight line looks strange, if it was separated in 2, it would have been even better.

Great review.. Though when painting your figures you should consider masking off the areas that don't need paint for smoother and straighter lines.. Testers spray paints, or Krylon Shortcuts should make the job easier.. I myself made a mess of trying to paint Fireflight into Slingshot 3 times and failed, but succeeded in making advances, but eventually I ended up like you. I bought a Quickslinger and gave it the United Warriors treatment.. Because of your review I purchased the Reprolabels upgrade and the PC-03..

Quickslinger then: CAD 63 Quickslinger now: *CAD 80*

In my opinion, the perfect effect feet make the combiners look like they came out of hot wheels acceleracers

Great video. the only problem I have with a lot of the combiners is that a lot of the combiners only have five bots or cons total that form the super robot. Devastator, my favorite, has six. The robot that forms the shoulder, chest, and torso is one robot and on devastator it's two robots

I think hasbro should have released the toy like this because your version is so much better

i might've if I still had that figure, though at the same time the upgrades for the chest turns the leg articulation into a static stance. thaaaaaat doesn't work for me

You made Superion WAY superior. I had to. But I'm serious. It looks better than any Hasbro combiner any made.

There is a way to get knee articulation with the nosecones on the back. Use Silverbolts elbows

i love Superion. hope to get the third party upgrades for him. have you thought of doing combiner Wars computron.

give him a removeabal glass which swaps for a cracked one and a missing arm and I'll give this company 1000000/10

Excellent review. I think you may have talked me into trying to find this guy, as well as do the same upgrades that you did. He looks awesome, and the other combiner that I have is a version of devastator you compared him to. This guy looks great.

I love this this is the Mega version of Superion but i would prefere the cartoony viser face and superion being combined with Alpha Barvo instead of fireflies twin brother and one question can the new head fit inside of silverbolt? Like the old head is isnide of silverbolt's chest?

The best figure you've ever owned so far.

The PE Menasor set actually fixes the combined mode quite well.

+The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer Wish I had that, it's true. But 'same leg pose' isn't exactly true. You still get forward or backward motion depending on how you orient the legs, and there's still a swivel too. There's only a tad less or articulation, so I wouldn't say it's completely gone.

Can you leave the link to the perfect combiner PC-05 (aka the perfect effect hands and feet)

Yeah, if I had to pay that Mich to make a custom of Quickslinger, then I would probably just buy the normal one instead.

I had some grand ambitious project planned in the past where AB got fed up of being the third wheel so he convinced took he wasn't wanted either, teamed up with Take off and Offroad and made their own combiner. It never happened haha

I just got the G2 box set. And he looks AMAZING! I'm probably gonna buy PE hands and feet if they made a kit.

There is a upgrade set for defensor that makes him loom absolutely amazing and almost 100% g1 accurate and is my favorite combiner because of this set its the c+custom THC-02J but its quite expensive

I wasn't going to bother with the upgrade kits myself but now after your review ITS A MUST HAVE!!!!! proof you don't need expensive 3rd party figures.

My G2 Superion was my favorite Combiner, until I completed Abominus.

My quickslinger broke in half so my superion is an arm down. Time to hunt down alpha bravo and the stickers for him.

I have the g2 version with the perfect effect upgrades

4 years later and quickslinger is 100

This is several years late, what if you own the g2 superion?

CW Superion is really great I still need to pick him up and the others to go with my defensor, but I'll be doing him the alpha bravo configuration and I'll repaint powerglide into slingshot

I wonder what the Untie Warriors version would look like with all those reprolabels and upgrade kits.

it looks sliiiiiightly different, with the chest gettinf a massive overhaul. which from what I remember, computron was a repaint or superion (chest wise) in the first place

With all the stuff you added on they look great except for the fact that I still see arms on Superion's legs. I may buy the Combiner Wars Aerialbots & Constructicons but I'll be putting my pre order in for the 1st two Zeta Toys Aerialbots. Friday.

The combiner wars devastator is actually G1 accurate! He has all the figures G1 accurate.

Try the nonnef feet and hands when they are in stock. I think they fit the proportions better.

i haven't seen too much of the robot modes besides the fact that I wasn't crazy over the heads, I just remember loving the vehicles. though I don't see the point of having them if the end result suffers

Slingshot is marked up to 4x the price in my country, it's ridiculous! So I bought a CBB Blast Off and colored him in the Unite Warriors color scheme. That costs me $8 as a whole (CBB Figure + Spray paint). Best custom job I ever had to do.

Youll never see this but i used the cw g2 slingshot for my superion because i like g2 slingshot i even have the original which ive so lovingly repaired every single time ive dropped him

i got a quick slinger for 15$ but for those who want one get a blast off and repaint him

if possible, would u be able to get warbotron aka not bruticus?

I got the Takara version and DW upgrades. I like them more than PE, But to each his own.

It's the only combiner from g1 because of week legs of the leader

The best way to get combiners with g1 looks is unite warriors from I think takara tomy

@07:12 - LOL. I agree. I know CW Devastator is cheaper but I'd still rather, and plan to, have TFC's Hercules. Yeah, I only the hands and feet, along with some combiner port extensions, and it's a VAAAAAST improvement. Great review as always.

I've thought about it, but it's a lot of work because there's no predefined shape for it to go. might actually be easier to glue a tail fin that doesn't rotate to the end and rip the rubber bits off, but idk if I'll end up ever doing that

I am waiting for bicep covers thigh extensions for superion. I wish they modded Alfa Bravo arms to be Gatling Guns instead of missiles. Maybe Blades and Alfabravo will get third party arms and Skydive a new tail.

I wish I had that superion it was already a good figure but it gets better

Great video man! I think you're right, Superion is clearly the winner of combiner wars. The hands and feet from Perfect Effect are so damn good hey, I'm still on the fence about the chest and head upgrade. I've still got Alpha Bravo and Dragstrip as team members of my Superion and still it's mega wicked. Not sure I want to fork out AU$130 for Quickslinger and Air Raid just yet but it'll happen... damn scalpers
