It’s not compulsory for foreigners , they can either sit or stand , the English introduction is for making sure they are informed, then they won’t get confused what’s going on . We stand because we love and proud of our country. The national anthem lyrics are nothing else , but about , unity, democracy and peace keeping.

When I was on vacation to see my grandma in Thailand I’ve at least done this more than 10 times cuz the Thai national anthem comes on two times every day. It comes on at 8:00 when I wake up and at 6:00.

Right , We do 8am everyday monday to friday in the morning ,because every school stand in the field front of building before go to the class. We took the flag up to the post every 8am, after 6pm. we take the flag down this is the reason why we have Thai national anthem 2 time a day it for school ,but now at the park they respect to do that also. Sorry my english not good enough.🙏

I stand for the national anthem crepe with pride in being Thai and remembering the Thai ancestors who sacrificed their blood to protect Thailand so that their children can have a place to live until today. Thai people love peace.

Fun Fact: Thailand have two national athems. One for public - you hear now - and one for only HM King/Queen related things. In Germany they played them as HM King Bumipol visited Germany. What a pity that not all thai sing the hymn too. Sounds nice if the people louder as the loudspeaker. BTW: Ill people, old people, babies, handicapped people, higher monks, HM King and Queen, Kindom house, can sit/lay without problems. Farangs should stand up!
