That is not Fasting. Biblical True Fasting is with Food. What yiu can do is tell God about your addiction and let him take over. Furthermore you need/should “Burn the Ships” to social media which are not needed at All. Blessings

If God is asking you to fast something in ur life I say Amen I think of fasting as humbly deny something of the flesh to glorify God! I fasted many things in my life at different times. With Facebook i Started w three months off F.B desided I didn't need it and ended up giving it completely to God been 13months now no f.b Praying for you 🙏 God is definitely at work.

Christie Borton with all due respect that is just plain manipulated opinion and not biblical. It is very dangerous to interpret scripture to accommodate it to our goals. The reason for Fasting is to weaken the Flesh and the ONLY way to do that is to is omit Foods (Biblical Based) If one decides to not do or participate in certain behaviors then it is a decision but not biblical Fasting. Simply not supported biblically and the Bible is NOT meant to be interpreted to our convenience. It is LITERAL, hence the Living Word of God. I would read up on the Addiction to Social Medial and its cause and the impact it has in the brain which is exactly the same as a person who is an addict to addictive substances.

This is a great sermon, for people who are actually suffering from being a "people pleaser"

I've been comparing myself to my friends and where they are in life. This had me envious of them. This had me to be self-critical of myself, and it was depressing me. Comparing yourself to others is a toxic thing to do. It brings you to hold yourself up to their standards, but everyone has the purpose that God has given them. Just like God has given each person their purpose in life, so do you. The only person that you should be proving to yourself to is God and yourself. Well, I just wanted to say this because I've been doing that same thing, and it was distracting me from the purpose that God has made for me. Anyways God bless ya.😁

I’ve been a Christian for 35 years and this is by FAR, one of the best sermons I’ve ever heard. SO MANY of our issues boil down to IDENTITY!! If we know WHO and WHOSE we are, we will stop trying to be someone that we are not! May we all have a revelation of who we truly are.

If you're not careful you will become bitter , angry , depressed and take it out on the people that don't even know that you are harboring that type of anxiety. It will eat at your soul little by little and make you feel worse because than you start to beat yourself up because you feel that you're not the Christians that Jesus taught us to be. We can't let this stuff take root in our lives and becareful where you turn to get rest. Make sure you take it to God first. ( not binge watch on Netflix to feel better or comfort food or friends that are going to jump on that band wagon instead of lift and encourage you). Remember to take yourselves out , step back and let God do His thing. (Personal experience) Thanks Pastor Furtick 🙏we need this.

There's some particular people that are making me feel anxious and stressed, but I have no control in this situation I am in. Its getting depressing and I'm starting to feel angry too.

@@BeautifulDelights951 try to remember that you're responsible for you don't try to make everyone happy. No one can be responsible for your joy ( they have issues of their own). The key thing is keep your eyes up and not at the situation. I made the mistake of trying to find comfort in all the wrong places and all of it worked a little but it was temporary and I was miserable. There is so much truth in scriptures and putting on the full Amor of God. Many confuse happiness (of the flesh ) to joy ( the gift of the holy spirit) the fact that you're not alone and how you handle it makes a difference in someone else's life when they face this same situation. Everything we do is for the Lord your reward is not of this earth so focus on the love that you can share and not the cost of it. You will feel better. The most that you can remember is how it feels and the sympathy you will have for others (because we don't know their story). God truly Loves you and it's important that we share that to those who feel like we did or do. Always talk to God. When it feels like he isn't doing anything , that's when he's got every angel working the most. You mean more to him than you can ever imagine ( if only you could see into the spiritual realm, you would see the army of angels standing right there with you and the commander and chief organizing your path). Never give up . HE WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU.

No longer will any of those things have any Residence in the children of the Lord. God is calling for His people to be set free. Sanctified by Christ with chains broke now given the Lord Jesus Christ's yolk, the Light of Truth we are not held back any more. Be careful little Minds what you believe because what we believe in your heart and confess with our mouths is what we are. Come to God boldly knowing Jesus Christ. Drink from the Holy Grail that IS His blood that precious sacrifice is enough. Sons and Daughters of the True Living God, release the ashes of the past, rise up into who God made you to BECOME. What we choose to believe, is what we then believe. take a hold of the beauty of his Everlasting love. Believe it and receive it. We are more than Overcomers in Christ. Greater is He who is us, than he who is in the world. Egypt's king believe what he believed and didn't even see it coming , his lack of belief in compliance to the truth that the Hebrews were the children of God, or maybe it was his pride, either way ultimately brought him to his death. In conclusion purposefully choose the proper belief and let go of the ones that want us dead.

I needed this word so much!!!!! I actually deactivated all of my social media almost three weeks ago, because I found myself comparing my life to the life others. I was posting and checking to see if certain individuals saw what I was posting so they could see that I was living just as good as they were. I’m just being honest!!!! It was literally draining me. I’ve NEVER been that type of person...so I knew it was time for a break!

It’s the same on social media or in school or at work or in public. You need to know who you are, what you are, and what you are not, be comfortable with that, be true to what you believe in, have patience and kindness to face the issues and not get personal, know your purpose and objectives and not get distracted.

Everyone’s trying to figure out themselves, stop carrying a pressure that is only inflicted by yourself. Embrace your difference and specialness in Christ!

The best option I can tell you is to temporary delete all your Social media apps so there’s no temptation, pray and encourage yourself with the Word of God, fast as much as you can, worship , and go outside enjoy nature , take a walk and do the things you love and trust me you’re going to see a major difference and a shift in your spirit that it’s going to seem so easy when you get used to it . We often feel like that at times bc we are giving our focus to things that are draining a lot at times & we need to refocus our eyes and spirit on Jesus . I hope this can be help & praying for you that you feel encouraged & motivated and God wraps you with His presence . Amen ❤️🙏🏼

I needed to hear this. I'm a musician, a drummer, self-taught and have been playing for about 10 years now and I see so many drummers my age(26) or younger who are playing in bands, playing in concerts, playing in churches meanwhile I'm still stuck playing in my garage. I find myself beating myself down with comparison to those who have already "made it". But I hear that we shouldnt compare ourselves to others becuz we're all on different pathes and our gifts will be shown in His time, not in the time of the person next to you. It's hard to grasp that and continue to work on myself with no comparison. This is half the reason why I got off of social media.

Indeed, it's tempting to think of such things, especially since we can only do so much with our uncontrollable situation. But we must realize that we don't know what that person went through or is still going through behind the scenes. I've been asking the lord why my mom compares me n my situation with every other sick person but tyj for this message I'm paralyzed same time with my cousin both had strokes he got effected speech wise I got paralyzed can't walk n he can n was told its because I don't work hard like him in therapy got me feeling hopeless and un worthy but I need to remind myself my healing n break through favors are coming to glorify God not my family or myself amen praise God

Them turn around and try an fit in with his Family who didn't like me from me being me... I showed kindness and respect an had no idea I was in a room with nothing but evilness... Randy and I were young an Randy starved his Mamas love an Happiness.. He would steal her nice things. Give her money, whatever he could do just to fit in... I intimidated them in ways they know was wrong but I stayed strong and knew God would take care of it in his time.. Years later he did ... I have prayed very hard over his 3 siblings that are alive but are not welcome to see me, my grown kids, or my Granddaughters... Story for another time.. It's in the book ...Feeling sorry for Randy started our relationship getting closer. His folks wouldn't even let him sleep on their couch... 17 years old now... My heart hurt for him....This was in 1983 when we began a relationship... Young, wild, partied all the time and free .. I knew though Randy was broken down inside an Later in our marriage I would get a better understanding.... Randy, back then knew the name God but didn't understand it or really believe it... I was raised up in Church an was saved, baptized an know God is my Lord an Savior....If he an I hadn't became close he may have never believed an later on get saved... Anyway I enjoy Pastor Steven and I hope to have a book very soon... God bless you all.

But I do remember her telling me this she said God was going to use me one day. Holly had one message I was not ready for this.3John1:12. Thank you for the teaching.

First time I'm not thinking "cliche." Sometimes its not about what you're saying its HOW you say it. Needed this today and every day. Moral of the story is dont exist for the validation of man because you'll be disappointed. Exist for the validation of GOD. 🙏☝️🌌

I have social anxiety, I have always thinking why people can talk for so long but I didn't know what to talk, i think I have to just be me and stop thinking about what I should say

Timely message.. I hope I can get over it. . I suffer from this mostly at work. I know I'm talented, I know what I carry, but same time, I'm constantly doubting myself, constantly feel like I'm not enough.. constantly talking negative to myself...I doubt everything I do... and now I'm afraid i am self-sabotaging myself by being so afraid and negative.. i dont know how to get out of this cycle.:(
