    Sir even we go with documents and proof the boss supports them only as they are at higher level. In their absence the boss convince us, but this story continues till we exit as we mentally harassed by them and no use of staying further with not trusted people, we may get better one company, but now a days office politics are too much, only boot lickers can survive, otherwise always we have to work under pressure

    Office politics is much more complex than this. It involves narcissisism, jealousy and power struggle. It's subtle, very difficult to maneuver and differs with different culture. What you shared might be applicable to the current gen of office politics

    Office politics are generally because of Narcissistic people .if the manager is narcissistic then he runs the team as like a narcissistic family and the team members are treated like golden child , scape goat child , hidden child , helper child like that and all kinds of narcissistic abuse happens there. The team members become narcissistic enablers , with or without their knowledge. If the co workers are narcissistic then the politics will be too much to survive. Better to look for some other job . The sad part is this office politics is everywhere but we can hope for a new job where the severity is low. One more sad part is that we can’t use any of the narc survival techniques here . One consoling thing is we have holidays to rejuvenate our emotional health a little bit , simply getting ready to face the abuse again
