WE use to do this at a body shop I worked at in the 80's. To test the fit was to put a dollar bill in the door area being fixed. If the bill dragged when pulled out you were good to go

Be sure to fully roll down the window before trying to “flex “ the door to the correct alignment. There is a definite risk of shattering the glass when doing this technique, because the glass will not bend If too much oblique stress is placed on it. It won’t bend like the metal door frame, it will just shatter.

You rock I appreciate the offer but please don’t do that…. I don’t know if you’re aware of it but I invented a bracket for the Chevy equinox…. That at the moment has maybe lessened my financial woes…….. only time will tell but the words mean more to me than the money ever would…. I swear to God I mean that. I was going to mention you in a video the other day but I didn’t end up making the video where I was removing a wheel bearing on the back and I was going to use your pipe wrench rotor trick….. but unfortunately sometimes there’s just no time to make videos and that really sucks because I do some pretty cool stuff….

Sometimes those stricker plate latch pins wear, causing it to change adjustment, without anyone messing with them. Seems like i see more of it out in the wild west, where dirt road Dale's are making rooster tails of dust, the dust sticks to the grease in the door latch and then identifies as valve lapping compound, wearing away the latch pin.

Don't forget to roll the window down and do that you can you can bust that window if I had a pretty easy so roll the window down to make it easier to bend that frame that's what you're doing

I do fusion stuff but you’re gonna find the most vehicles are the same…. Most of the tricks that I show in my videos will work on anything. And if I’m working on a Ford because Ford is a company and they wanna make products you’re going to find the procedures and most of the parts are fairly interchangeable or at least the procedures are interchangeable from vehicle to vehicle because companies make a lot of money by producing as many parts as possible that will interchange over different cars meaning engineers will engineer things the same way even though it’s a different car because somethings just have to work well on everything so they’re pretty much the same thing

Air Leak being fixed by bending the door frame? Proceed with CAUTION whoever watches this... inspect your weatherstrip around the door and check that first... bending frame is NOT an effective way to fix wind noise and air leak (if you experience hearing it while driving at higher speeds).
