Stony Brook Provost's Lecture Series: Judith Crowell, SUNY Distinguished Professor

The Stony Brook Provost's Lecture Series features talks by the university's SUNY Distinguished Academy faculty highlighting their areas of deep expertise. Judith Crowell delivered a talk, "Understanding Attachment and Close Relationships and Their Impact on Development" on February 6, 2024.
Crowell is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, clinical director of the Stony Brook Autism Initiative, and SUNY Distinguished Professor in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Renaissance School of Medicine. She has been on the faculty at Stony Brook since 1987. Her research and clinical work have focused on parent-child relationships, the attachment system, early childhood, and autism spectrum disorders.
