Only if you live in the top half of the country. Pretty much from the Queensland border in the east, and from Shark bay in Western Australia, north. They are very rare to ever see in the southern states. In northern states, as long as you stay away from rocky beaches you're fine, as stone fish like to hide and camouflage amongst the rocks.

Only if you live in the top half of the country. Pretty much from the Queensland border in the east, and from Shark bay in Western Australia, north. They are very rare to ever see in the southern states. In northern states, as long as you stay away from rocky beaches you're fine, as stone fish like to hide and camouflage amongst the rocks.

Used to walk to an "island" about 40 metres out, one can walk out at low tides but isnt clear as its murky water and ankle height, after finding out about em I couldn't walk that crossing even on a very low tide
