Jesus Christ I miss this band 😢

I saw STP on June 23,1993 at a small venue, called The State Palace Theater, in New Orleans on the Plush Tour. I was on the front row for the entire show. So cool.

I went to this show. Cheap truck opened. My first concert without parents. My buddies and I went and had a blast! Thanks for posting. Long live STP

Yet sadly they’ve tried replicating this era’s main character with an exact opposite frontman who may sound a bit like him in the studio, but without a doubt? No way any other person can get a crowd going like he could except for possibly Perry Farrell ( Jane’s Addiction) or Steven Tyler ( Aerosmith always could have done that as early as’73- present) , but he doesn’t possess that type of talent on stage and forget about body language like Weiland had in spades. I was at the Broome County show and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The group of friends I went with, we still talk about that show and Weiland as a frontman to this day. Did anyone ever film that show? I saw quite a few shows there and most of them are up on KZread that were filmed.

20 years from now some kids with good taste are going to mine the shit out of their catalog and future popular culture will be better off for it. 😊

cannot ever again listen to Sex Type Thing after hear himself say in interview he was "invaded" at 12 years old... (blocked memories until later in life) Never liked that song anyway... he's surprisingly casual about singing it too...

I think the song is not exactly about rape, is actually against sexism, abuse of power, from a macho man point of view, this also explains the crazy performances of this song in 2000-2002 Btw, Scott lyrics sometimes have 2 or more meanings, and Sex Type Things doesn't seem to be an exception...
