People can down on Slipknot, on Stone Sour all they want but that will never disprove to me that Corey Taylor is one of the best rock vocalist in the world and one of the most down to Earth people I could ever hope to meet!

An absolutely AMAZING voice... Like I think he's one of the best vocalists there is... The range, from stuff like this and Snuff to the harder Slipknot stuff... Just so good. He makes it sound so rich and painful and emotional. Love it, love him... Muoy man crush lol❤

Just Me better than chester. His vocal range is beastly 5 and a half octaves. Although chester can sing higher i believe his range is around 3 and a half octaves. They are both vocal geniuses but i prefer corey taylors raw sound better its so good live.

everythingends555 Corey´s vocal range to 5(+) octaves is asymmetrically balanced, but it´s hardly around 3 (-/+) clean. It´s not his "vocal range" that makes people listen to him =) He´s pitchy in this video for example trying to reach just some of those Em7(?). He can´t use headvoice at all, but has an amazing chestvoice. It´s his vocal tone that is very specific; harsh/raw but still fragile sounding. Vocals are technically rated, and Corey uses a mashup of growl/scream/clean because his clean vocals are very limited due to him being a baritone with bad technique. That doesn´t matter though, obviously. Tone is what counts.

what makes Corey such a great artist, is the charisma that he provides, the dedication and emotion he puts into each song, I mean you can literally feel the emotion in his lyrics every time he sings, he is a legend and anybody who disagrees doesn't know what makes music, music

Jesse Gillis could just say hes an artist in every possible way but thats too easy and to be honest doesnt sum up enough because he is so much more than that. at times he can be the artist then other times he himself is a unique work of art. this man just fascinates the absolute crap out of me and whether it be in a documentary or a performance, interview whatever... he is just so interesting and it makes me just want to explore my own artist ways more and more..

I know some might pick this singing performance apart, but his heart and soul is in that voice so it's just perfect. He is a really incredible singer and once he hits those highs a lot of other singers would drop off. In fact, apparently he is capable of 5 and a half octaves, which is pretty incredible. This guy is a born musician, he has been living it for his whole life. Interesting read this guy is.

His ability to carry a tune...harmonize and yet still scream with the best of them is really inspiring. Many can do one of the three but he stands out in his ability to do all three well. Song has inspired men through out history. I was song that brought us into this world and it is often song that leads us to the next life.

People underrate him and talk shit but They really cant say much because not to many artists can switch up the type of music they play and successfully do it. He is one of the few. Im not huge on slip knot but i do give him props to be able to do that typ of vocal talent to this type, Its not easy to sound without the stuio help. Acoustic is raw and he kills it. I love it.
