    Is step easier to clean?

They are both easy to clean. I personally find steps easier to clean because there are less grooves on the side of it but both are easy to clean.

We have the Steps and find the chair pretty easy to clean by just wiping, haven't even had any problems with dropped food getting into the grooves on the legs. The tray however, has a seam along the sides that tends to collect mush and requires more effort to clean carefully, as it isn't dishwasher safe and can't be submerged in water (it's hollow inside and has no apparent way to take it apart to drain). We don't use the tray anymore for that reason. Not sure if it's easier to clean than the Tripp Trapp, but it's been pleasingly low-maintenance for us without the tray or cushions.
