I've been to Stockholm such a lovely city
I've flown Norwegian and SAS from LA to Arlanda on three occasion. Train station is beneath airport, a few hrs more and I'm in Stockholm. The Swedes have it all down! So much history and culture, the landscape is lovely. Plan to move here next year...my wife's Swedish ;)

The train from Arlanda to Stockholm city takes 18 minutes. Bus is much cheaper, takes 40 minutes.

How to get from the Arlanda Airport to the Central Station downtown Stockholm: Arlanda Express Train 18 mins (299 sek) Commuter Train: Arlanda Station -> Central Station 39 mins (169 sek). Local bus #583 to Märsta and Commuter Train to the Central Station (60 mins is 39 sek). Cab/Taxi 30-40 mins (600 sek). Airport Coaches (Flygbussarna/Bus) 45 mins (119 sek).
A good tip for someone coming to Sweden is to keep unplanned time and talk to a local. Most of us love to show off the city and everyone has different ideas of what you should see. Only challenge is to break the ice as he said in the episode so the other one gets engaged and not just nice.

It's is pretty expensive compared to other countries in Europe. Come in the Summer only in the middle of June until the middle of August. They have a great summer if you're lucky with the weather.

Can anyone answer me this question I’m looking to go Stockholm in November time but need to know if clubs and bars are still open and what’s the COVID-19 restrictions are I’ve heard this is the only place where it hasn’t been affected much

Hi, i just did read that bars are starting to open now. But at the same time i've read that the amount affected has increased in the areas were the bars and nightclubs are located. But if you're looking for a normal way of living during covid, come to Stockholm my friend
@ExclusivelyReclusive1

currently you have simply social distancing (common sense) some places like restaurants have taken precaution but its almost like normal here
@Mortac
3 жыл бұрын
Hello Ephraim! Sweden is open in general. There's no requirement to wear face masks. Social distancing is recommended, and you'll see signs and markings on the floor in stores to remind people to keep distance whenever possible. Try to be extra careful around elderly people. Overall, though, just use common sense and don't be careless. Most places are open regularly, however, many restaurants only have takeaway food. Many are also open, but may have some seats closed or tables moved further apart than usual. There's also a limitation nationwide on at most 50 people at gatherings. Regarding bars and clubs, this limitation has affected them quite heavily, so many bars and pubs may be temporarily closed. I don't live in Stockholm so I can't comment specifically on the situation there, but I believe they are not allowed to remain open after 1am currently. Anyway, the bottom line is that life in general is mostly normal, but act responsibly, and if you want to party, you can, but keep in mind that the selection of bars and pubs might be a bit less right now. Also a friendly reminder regarding alcohol that often confuses foreigners when they visit: If you want to buy strong alcohol outside of pubs, clubs or restaurants, don't look for it in supermarkets. You need to find stores called Systembolaget, since alcohol levels of higher than 3.5% may not be sold in regular stores. There are several of them in Stockholm, though. Finally, November is a month where the cold weather starts hitting the nation, and we usually get snow in December, but sometimes it may come even in late November. Hope you will enjoy your stay!

Scandinavia. Only Sweden Norway Denmark. Finland is a Nordic country
@fredosinsemilla3896

Finland is located on the Scandinavian peninsula, while Denmark is not. Finland was the eastern part of Sweden for 700 years, while Denmark was the eternal enemy. You just can't do what everyone else is doing without knowing the history. The Sami people which inhabited the entire north of the peninsula was closer to the Finns than anyone else, is still part of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.. but never Denmark. Denmark is however located on continental Europe, which none of the other countries are. But there is still a connection of history which Finland will never be part of.

@fredosinsemilla3896

@@rexuz2482 Why not? Scandinavia is still a geographical area, meaning the Scandinavian peninsula. This was known since 2000 years back, also called Scandza through Roman geographers. Finland is part of the Scandinavian peninsula, while Denmark is not. What the people of Scandinavia were called through antiquity was Norse, obviusly meaning Nordics. Danes, Norwegians and Swedes should be called Norse rather than Scandinavians. Finns are not Norse, but they still live on the Scandinavian peninsula. Over and out you son of a jogger.

@@fredosinsemilla3896 Scandinavian people is culture/language based. Fenoscandia is the Geographical based (what you call Scandinavian Peninsula) Finland have never or never will be a part of Scandinavia but a part of the Nordics. the same as Faroe island, Greenland or Island.

And you are still living here after all these years? This terrible clean, hardworking city. Swedes fikar all the time, maybe you’ve not understood that intricate part of social life? That’s one way to get to know people. It’s not very nice when people are welcomed, then complain how awful their new country/city is and yet they stay.
