I like the look of the stock pipes so I cut the rear baffles out and the bike sounds really good.

I have V&H Classic 2 on my Dragstarr 1100 (V Star) and i absolutely love them. The growling and baffle sound is amazing at lov revs and at cruising speed.

Yes, I did a re-jet after this video was posted. It came in a kit and added additional horsepower.

You wasted your time and money. A rejet is not necessary so long as the original header pipes remain on the bike. You can run the bike without mufflers and a rejet is not needed . The header pipes are the restriction on the exhaust system. You’re kidding yourself if you think you got extra horsepower from a rejet.

I tried to get a set of these Vance & Hines Classic Cruiser 2 Slip On Mufflers but they don't make them for Honda VTX's so I chose the Cobra Boulevard Slashcut Slip On Mufflers instead.

These Vance & Hines Classic Cruiser 2 Slip On Mufflers have the same baffles that r in my Cobra Boulevard Slashcut Slip On Mufflers that r on my 2008 Honda VTX 1300 Retro.

Standard stock exhaust sound embarasing compared to Vince and Hines one. Once I buy one for me I will change to new exhast straight away. Is it hard to put new one on or fairly easy. I watched KZread video but just wonder whether it require retuning or something?

@MrTEXICAN321 The video shows just the slip-ons before a jet kit. I did add the jet kit later and the sound improved even more. Not to mention a noticable increase in horsepower.

Your imagination is running wild. If you kept the same headers and air filter, a rejet gets you nothing in performance.

what size jets? bike runs a little lean with these on stock jets

I have the same bike with the same V&H classic 2 mufflers. I'm curious to take the baffles out and remove the fiberglass packing inside them. It might give the bike a deeper sound without the loud cracking when accelerating. What's your thoughts on this? Thanks. Nice video.

My bike on stock mufflers sounds much better than yours. I put V&H Classic 2’s on my V Star. It was so loud I refused to put it on the road. Pulled the baffles and converted them to Quiet Baffles. The low idle rumble sounds great. Unfortunately, even ear plugs can’t stop the buzzing in my ears after an hour on the highway. Too uncomfortable. I put the stock mufflers back on and love my V Star on the open road once again. Convinces me that Yamaha knew what they were doing in the first place.

LOL, omg those stock pipes sound like a machine factory.

I removed the fiberglas packing from the baffles and installed Smartpartz hard core baffles to the ends of the V&H baffles. The sound is excellent. I really like the sound. I have a video posted, check out my channel to hear my vstar run.

I haven't taken out the baffles, I'm not really sure how that would change the sound.

Where would I find a set of those for my 08 vstar 1300?

I have Cobra slash cut on my 1100 Spirit...still sounds like an 1100 Spirit only louder.

Short answer, no. These were just slip ons, they didn't require full removal of the entire pipe.

That chest here on mine I was thank some wrong. Motor are something it pipes that made word Defronts them stock was suck nose doesn't sound good made bike sound. Something wrong defect
