Great to hear! Just follow the teachings of the legends.

Do you follow risk reward ratio sir? Or just trail from pivots to pivots? Asking because I am facing problem in profit booking. Some trades hit 1:3 RR or even more and then if I try trailing it under last pivot, I sometimes book 1:1 or 1:1.5 RR in the same trade. What should be the approach here?

Sir, What do you consider as top performing stock in ur pf in terms of %gain. As you had mentioned you hold 2 or 3 such names, inspite of them violating pivots or even when broader markets are correcting - how much would these stocks have run up at the time bcz i remember you had mentioned you booked profits in some SMM stocks which had run 70 -100% back in sep when those were violating pivots. So I assume the top performing stocks are anything above 100%?

Hi Sharan I think you misinterpreted what I said. I said, I booked 50% in the winners and will re-look if a new base forms. Regarding % gain, this is no relevant. Top performers can either be 70% plus in good cycles or 15% plus in average cycle.

Riddhi for every trader this will be different. There cannot be a common answer for this. If one can take higher risk, then SMM allocation should be more If one cannot take risk, then large caps is the way out.

I’m super nimble with my trades. My SLs are predefined and I dont think twice when my SL hits. This approach has worked for me in this rally and I’ve captured some decent moves in small/midcaps. I cut exposure in Lcaps after my SLs were hit and I haven’t re-entered since smaller companies are also on the move. Seeing some breakouts in some auto and jwellery sector in Lcaps but i probably will not enter those trades now because smaller companies also showing me some breakouts.

Mark minervini , despite the fact that he has been in the market for so long. He has not created huge wealth in comparison to returns that he is claimed to have made. Reason is simple, he sits out most of the time and even if deploys, deployed capital is very less and that’s why his returns are high but wealth created is less. Sir, How do you do STP in stocks that have already run up a lot at the time you spot them? Do we wait for them to PB or can we start right away assuming price gets averaged in STP ? Eg: Sundaram finance holdings, Spandana spoorthy, Solar industries

Hi Sharayan The beauty of STP is that it averages out over time. I never bother about entering extending stocks as such. At the most, they will come down 5% or more after I enter in which case I will pause the STP

I cannot recommend you taking anything. But HDFC B, Kotak and SBI are being neglected by Investors currently. Their long term prospects are excellent.

Check the volumes in it. I dont remember the recent volumes. If its liquid, then ETF is a good option.

Hi Raunak, as always very insightful video. However you keep shuffling between different timeframes in your analysis, which sometimes confuses. For a trader who is looking for breakouts, pattern based trading, which timeframe is most appropriate as per your experience. Thanks

Hi Vishal You need to stick to time frames you understand and ignore the rest. If you are only interested in pattern trading etc, then you can stick to daily TF Shuffling between time frames is important to understand shift in momentum.
