the F-14Bs stock grind was honestly the best in the game for me, unlocked CMs first match, got the BOL pod next game for the quad 9l bug, sparrows the game after and then it was just easy cruising.

I've played war thunder for years and never knew you could radar lock a head on missile and hit with your own..

Fun fact, you don't need the 9L modification to get the 9Ls+CM pods, you just need the CM pods

I think that one pilot in the F-4E flew in front of your missile instead of taking the same path as you were to get to the F-16, not try to cut across. And he did deploy flares, meaning he knew you had fired the missile that locked on to him after he flew in front of the missile

The reason you didn't see the missile at 6:34 is because the missile had stopped its acceleration and "burn". It was pretty much just using it's diminishing energy to glide to your aircraft. Although, I agree that missile indicators should be visible no matter range in Air RB.

That's the whole point of AIM 54 You fire it at 40-60KM because it needs a lot of time to accelerate and finish burning If markers were always visible any missile would be useless at 4km+ range (which already was the case when we had MISSILE LAUNCHED meme warnings when they first came to WT, this shit was removed for a reason) Also it's a radar missile, all you have to do is pay attention to rwr aaaand it flies pretty much blind for 20KM from the break of datalink to going pitbull so you have plenty of time to just turn a bit and it misses

You have to lock the enemy on the radar and this only work on the newer radars.

Aim7m are kinda broken, if they lock you, you are basically dead, with little to no room for counterplay.
