7pin .404 RS Stihl chain, Oregon 25in hardnose bar.
Ol 660 is rippn'..nice work..👍🏻🤘🏻🪓
How long had that been down/drying?
That's green timber.
@@roguesixty1692 no fair! 😩😆
Hard nose bar?
So the 404 is a little bit wider cut .but a bit more robust.maybe be a little bit better in firewood or dirty timber.?.
Yes .404 holds an edge longer than 3/8 only downside with .404 is it takes more power to pull it.
What’s the rest of the process of going to short bucked logs? You can see my vids of me trying to cut your Aussie hard woods. 😆
The bucked logs are called billets after bucking the logs into billets they go into the sawmill and in this case cut into railway sleepers.
@@roguesixty1692 I might try some 3/8” oregon Duracut in comparison to .404.
Semi chisel?
No Stihl .404 chisel chain it's clean green wood. The little bit of dirt on the logs does not bother .404 RS Stihl chain.
