🚍 STM Montreal overnight bus ride on the all-night 369 route: Côte-des-Neiges direction south 🌃
Here is a nice late night / early morning ride on the STM Montreal bus route 369: Côte-des-Neiges -- going south towards Guy Concordia Metro Station.
NOTE: It is a bit noisy in the start of the video but I do eventually move near the front of the bus at around the 3:25 mark.
This is an overnight bus, also called an all-night bus, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada that runs from approximately 1:00 AM and 4:30 AM Eastern, depending on the the stop and the night.
The bus route begins at Namur Metro Station on the Orange Line of the metro and ends at Atwater Metro Station on the Green Line while traveling south. Going north, the bus starts at Atwater Station and ends at Namur Station.
The main street that this bus runs on is Côte-des-Neiges Boulevard, where it gets its routes namesake from.
The purpose of the all-night STM buses in Montreal is to compensate for the metro being closed during the overnight hours. Every all-night bus route in Montreal begins with the digit 3 and there are approximately 23 such routes covering the island of Montreal.
For this bus ride, I got on at the corner of Van Horne and Côte-des-Neiges and got off at Guy Concordia Metro Station. After filming this video, I switched to the 350 all-night route.
This was aboard STM bus 37-002, which is a Nova Bus LFS hybrid bus from the year 2017.
This video was filmed on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at approximately 3:19 AM Eastern. This also happened to be my first video filmed in 2023!

Nice ride Pat, Happy new year to you. Ive never rode one of the night buses so its nice to actually see people ride them and record it. (also ive actually rode 37-002 on the 160 before)

Thank you! Yeah the night buses can be a bit rowdy but some can also be very quiet and peaceful. If all depends on the line
A perfect bus ride, Pat. You are right. The teenagers were quite loud. You know what? I haven't ridden a bus in Slovakia for almost 20 or even more years. I always ride my car. Everywhere.

@@SkyOfTheUniverse @Jack Casey Yes, I have already thought about buying a camera for my car and recording videos on my rides in Banska Bystrica. I even have got a camera on my head and there might be some parts of the camera to install in my car. I will have to have a look at where it is.

Trivia: 37-001 to 37-054 use old Cummins ISB 6.7, while 37-055 and up use Cummins B6.7 with EPA 2017 emission standards, and these two engines sound different

whats interesting is theres one all night that arrives at its dest at around 6:15 6:30 am, and it leaves sunnybrooke station at around 4:15 I say one day we ride it and film the full ride.

We've got some beautiful street names as well, Pat. I live on Haskova street. Hasek was a Czech writer. And my son Jacob lives with his mum on Flower street which is in my opinion pretty cool too.

@@SkyOfTheUniverse Yes, I watched the game. It was a feast. Dominik Hasek is a Czech citizen. I am a Slovak citizen. But our streets are named after Czech people as well, Pat. I think it is mutual. Some Czech streets are named after Slovak people too.

Oh this is called an Opus Card. It's basically a magnetic card that stores bus / metro tickets. You buy the ticket on a machine and the ticket goes onto the card. Once it's on the card, you pass the card over the ticket reader on the bus to show you have a ticket. You can also do like I do, and buy a monthly pass for the bus and metro. Ah...I see. This method using Opus Card when we go by bus is similar with Jakarta that using smart card if we go by Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) while in the city I live in Semarang we use smartphone with QR Code to pay the ticket or pay in cash.
