Stirling Engine SV2 MKII by Kirk Engines, Inc.

Ғылым және технология

This video shows the developmental progress of a high-performance Stirling engine intended to power an electrical generator. The goal is to have a propane-fuelled, portable generator developing approximately 500 watts @ 12 volts DC to charge battery arrays. The engine is shown running in a no-load condition as the current burner (made for an earlier version) is deficient in heat output. A new burner is presently being designed with the capacity to operate the engine at full rated shaft power output of 700 Watts. The burner will feature more flame jets and larger flow capacity, plus a cap enclosure to direct more heat into the heater head dome.
