What a moment, love it. ☺️❤️ - From Ireland
Just came back from Aruba. This was sung by a reggae artist at one of outdoor pool bars where I was staying and having a few drinks. I went back to my room and showered to Bob Marley. Now I am unpacking to Bob Marley lol.
Bob Marley is lit🔥
This song has a powerful meaning and today this song still rocks my soul
Ich chill hier Grad nach Feierabend alleine hör Bob Marley und denk mir nur so, Junge der Typ hat sich unsterblich gemacht! Gut ab , Musik ist geil, du hast es verdient, Ruhe in Frieden mein Freund!
He was a prophet, chosen words of peace and love. One of the great ones.
I just looked at rolling stone 100 best artists of all time n went straight to #1 seeing that the Beatles were #1 n didn’t even bother to look at the list to contain my anger😂 bob n the wailers is the best no matter what anybody says

Happy heavenly birthday 79 today 🎤🎸🇯🇲 Bob Marley believed that you could cure racism and hate... literally cure it, by injecting music and love into people's lives. When he was scheduled to perform at a peace rally, a gunman came to his house and shot him down. Two days later he walked out on that stage and sang. When they asked him why - He said, "The people, who were trying to make this world worse are not taking a day off... How can I? Light up the darkness."

I listen to be inspired to live life out loud in service of actual love for all my brothers and sisters around the world... that we are here means all our voices matter and truly our brothers and sisters engaged in protest do God's work to drag us forward on the path of righteousness.. as my eldest is about to graduate from highschool I am grateful to all the protesters for highlighting the places where we, Americans, need to stand up for our ideals of America and the unceasing struggle for a more perfect union. 💜
Definitely the best bass line ever written!! If I could only play one bass line for the rest of my life, this is the one. Pretty much is anyway. So much fun to play, I can just play this song for hour's.
@dougmildram3032

Geez I dunno help me out here (boomer bassist playing this for first time in new band). Bass line bothers me when (song is in A) on slow beat 3 in many many measures, bass plays a four note (D) implying a brief four chord, which the rest of the band ignores that (so it becomes a weird A over D chord/moment). If this really is planned and done consistently I just don't hear it yet...seems totally up to the bassist mind to inject it randomly. Kinda like the (fast) 5th beat (second measure) in the Stones "Satisfaction" where the guitar leading/high notes is a flat 3, with the bass doing/implying a 4 chord but the guitars ignoring the 4 chord. At least in Satisfaction it is done consistently but still sounds off/"wrong" to my picky ear. On this song, I'm thinking about not playing that quick D ( 4 = IV chord) note...
Stir it up Little darling, stir it up Come on, baby Come on and stir it up Little darling, stir it up It's been a long, long time (stir, stir, stir it together) Since I've got you on my mind, oh (oh) And now you are here (stir, stir, stir it together) I say it's so clear To see what we could do, baby Just me and you Come on and stir it up Little darling, stir it up (I will say) Come on, baby Come on and stir it up, yeah Little darling, stir it up, oh
